Re: Mythos Playing Cards by Hannah Elwell
Much to like about this deck the eggshell/sand/off-white stock (or worse - background if printed on white stock) is not one of those things for me though. I can live with it on the back design but not on the faces. I know that for some it is a pet peeve to have two different coloured backgrounds on the faces/backs though so, there is that .
The pips I like quite a lot.

I too like the pips and the B&W (cream) backs are really to my liking but once again I am put off by the names on the Courts - I don't think names on Courts are ever needed (let people research some things themselves)
KoD - my initials, no wonder I grew up a lover of playing cards

I for my part am not per se against names on the cards but I just seem to dislike them often times designwise. When they're on the side, oppossed to top/bottom/middle, I'm quite okay with them.
For this deck I would choose a smaller font size though and would either make them uniformly black or do the red cards with red font instead of blue font colour.

Yeah, I like these for all the individual art elements, but as a whole the design elements are not quite up to my snuff.

I love mythology but there's so many decks around mythology out there that it really raises the standard for upcoming projects. This one doesn't really pull me in that much.
