Unfortunately for me, shipping costs are a necessary evil, but with shipping at that price, coupled with the embedded savings, at ~$100, this is easily one of the better KS campaigns I’ve been involved with.

Okay. I am serious. I’ll order a brick of gilded if I can get enough orders. I’ll go up to three decks. I have another person for two. I need seven more commitments. Cost is $20 each plus my actual shipping, which is about $3 for one deck first class domestic.

I will go up to 3 decks as well. So, just need six more.

Okay. I had three more decks reserved through PM's. Three more gilded decks available.

Wait, what's this deal... Also how much would it be to ship to Canada?

A brick of gilded decks is only $240, or $20 each. I am not sure of the cost to Canada or the import taxes. It is not that much more to add on a gilded deck internationally, so it might be cheaper or easier to just get it directly. However, it is up to you. I will just charge the actual shipping. I don't mind shipping to Canada if you want to join. I would need the $20 when the campaign closes. Shipping you can pay when we get the decks. I keep the brick box for my trouble if the stretch goal is met. I have already backed for a gilded brick. Three slots left unless someone backs out or I decide to keep more of them.

Well, I mean if it's around the same price, I'll give it to someone who can actually benefit from the discount then. Thanks though!

Hi Jody, I was wondering. For the luxury case, will the decks inside have their own tuck cases? or will it replace both tuck cases.

I was a little ambivalent at the start as I usually prefer less realistic artwork but something about this campaign got me right on board with a luxury set. The design, the price, the quality of the materials. I love it! Looking forward to getting these :)

This is me almost exactly, especially the "prefer(ring) less realistic artwork" bit.

Could it be we're now so deep down the rabbit hole that a nice tuck box trumps whatever's inside?

I can't speak for Jody, of course, but I doubt the case would replace tucks as that would probably be a logistical nightmare.

Two decks with tuck cases will fit inside the luxury set. Designed to go with any decks and not just with Luminosity. Of course you should only put my designs in them ;)

Jody, if you reach the custom brick box goal, you really ought to think about a great price for a mixed brick of all three decks. I bet you could sell a fair number of them.

Totally, I am going to be working on the design. I think it will be pretty sweet. It's going to depend on the cost of the box itself. The best way for me to do it is to do the same as the 2 deck box and make it a Black Ink themed tuck box, so I can use it as a promo piece for my playing card company. It's the only way to make it cost effective.

Great idea!

And damn you if it has copper foil! Not sure if I can get enough together to do another brick right now! Lol.

We had the copper discussion in your campaign comments, happy to see more copper foil out there. Way better than gold imo. Copper>>silver>>>>gold.

Nono, there's definitely a limit.

This deck, though, is the right side of "realistic, but still far enough from photographic" to appeal to me.

I have always loved Jody's tuck boxes (The Iron Horse one is stunning); it's been the style of courts that's kept me from pledging. It's plainly obvious to anyone that they're incredibly well designed cards and that Jody has a talent that I can only dream of having, but they're just not for me.

Is the black luxury deck not the same as the KS exclusive the only difference being the gilding?

It looks like the KS exclusive with gilding is being replaced with the black luxury deck - So now the third deck will have a different back (black) and gilding as opposed to just gilding. So I wouldn't call this a new deck, but an improvement on the third deck.

Correction he changed the back of the KS Exclusive to be Copper Metallic.

Can we start a petition to replace gilding with foil? Not specifically for this project, just in general

I have kind of set my order (insane) and kind of forgotten about this campaign as it comes to a close. Wow. It has nearly $125,000 in funding, but even more impressive is that it has 2.368 backers. I didn't know we had that many people interested in playing cards! I guess we are seeing a rise in interest in these cool custom playing cards.

Way to go Jody! 8-)

Hey everyone, Luminosity ends tomorrow! I am really humbled and shocked at the turnout for this project.

As of right now, 2704 backers (What?)

Yeah there is that many card-lovers! I think this year has seen a resurgence into the love of beautiful and creative decks. To have two decks, mine and The Parlour going at the same time and both going over $100,000 that tells us something. Congrats to "The Parlour" Lorenzo and The Gentleman Wake put on a great campaign.

As always, thanks to the UC the amazing support. I too can't wait to see these decks. They are going to be amazing.
