Hi there,
I have been recommended this forum and went through some threads already, which have been very enlightening!

I am an artist working with print since a few years now, based in France (more specifically the east of the country). My work is mainly build around mythologies, storytelling, structures...
I have been wanting to design a playing card set for a long time now, and thanks to a regional fund, I have been able to start working seriously on this project, which is approaching the dreaded precommands+fabrication part.
The set i have been working on tries to synthetize different kind of decks, for example by trying to find equivalencies between french and mediterranean suits.
The goal now is to run a test print, and if i really wanted to stay local and go through cartamundi, their minimal volumes are insane and i'll probably end going through WJPC who have quite a lot of options and good feedbacks.
Would you like to see some previews of the cards? It would be a pleasure to discuss them

If this is a deck that you are currently developing, I recommend moving the previews to the "Drafting Board" section, where people look for works-in-progress and may even offer a constructive suggestion or two. Once your deck is ready to make it's production run debut (or Kickstarter project, or the like), THEN is a great time to move the discussion to the New and Custom Decks section.
