Interesting until the printer is Shuffled Ink with plastic tuck. $20 too high.
Move on, nothing to see here.

The court images are actually delightful, but the drop-shadow indices and face pips make my eyes hurt.

So, a fox, a porcupine, and a raccoon walk into a bar and...

I think they should've left the pips flat, otherwise the artwork is fun, I like it.

Let me know when they change the printer to USPCC and I'll back.

My favorite "animal walks into a bar" joke is also the shortest:

A seal walks into a club.

I really love this deck actually it’s a shame that it’s not a better printer and better price.

I want to like this and support a first time creator, because I’m hoping for the same in a couple months. But I agree about the printer and lack of custom tuck. She clearly has some talent.

As others have said the art is fine and the courts are great. But aside from the printer, also on my list of negatives are the back design- it's pretty plain considering what's going on in the front, the full bleed back arcs on the back, and most offensive of all is the low project funding goal.

I think Shuffled Ink specializes in small print runs for playing cards, card games, tarots, etc. There are some examples. From the examples, it looks like they do a lot of corporate label decks. Again, they are probably smaller print runs like MPC. I think they also do a decent business as well in making prototypes. I might have some of their decks, but not sure. I am sure, if I have them, I haven't opened them. If JR uses them for his monthly decks, I will open one of the display decks and try them out.

I recently had a new prototype deck (circus) printed by Shuffled Ink and had a very bad experience with them. I wanted to use them over MPC to support a USA company but I will have to switch back to MPC for my small print runs. FYI - The actual deck ended up coming out fine for the most part, but had major service and communication issues.

Sunish's Kalevala prototypes were printed by Shuffledink and I thought they were amazing quality considering that the deck was a prototype. Maybe Sunish could tell us a bit more on how dealing with them was, I can only speak for the finished product.

Also offtopic, but that banjo picture made me think of this amazing Finnish bluegrass AC/DC cover:

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

I had a friend point these out to me a couple of days ago. I have to admit I was very interested until seeing the price point: AU$90 for 2 decks inc. shipping is about $25-$30 too much than I would be willing to part with for 2 decks.

Good experience with Shuffled Ink on Kalevala prototype decks. They do small print runs in US and outsource large print runs to a printer in a China.

They are based out of Florida and I also heard about another printer named Mr. Playing Card or MPC recently which is also based out of Florida. It is good for US designers at least as they have got more options now.
