Re: "Cthulhu Madness" Playing Cards by Grim Joker [KS]

I believe the Cartamundi Poland location is their small batch, on-demand printing arm. I think the minimum is somewhere around 400 or 500 and you only have basic CMYK printing for tuck and cards. It has been a while since I looked into that part of Cartamundi so it may have changed over the last cou...

Re: Mirage Deck of Playing Cards

Stunning deck! The collector's tin is a nice touch and the artwork is just stunning. Very slightly tweaked from the v1 from 2019.

I did a quick video of the deck on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4j-2YcOln2 ... _copy_link

I am a sucker for minis. While this project wasn't a perfect fit for me, I do think this will make for one of the better minis available.

Re: Why no one is printing KS decks via USPCC or Cartamundi these days?

My hope was to use Cartamundi for my cold foil special edition decks and I was willing to delay fulfillment a bit to get into their January queue. January arrived without any details on new pricing or any commitment to a printing schedule. I made the decision to switch printers. WJPC was already pri...

Re: Bicycle Elton John Playing Cards

I really want to like these. The subject is near and dear to my heart as I grew up loving most of Elton's music. This deck doesn't hold a candle (in the wind) to the Elvis deck T11 did recently. A deck for Sir Elton should have that kind of over-the-top flair and then some.

Re: Jack Brutus Penny presents - Tails of Mischief

At the very least, the collab coin is a clever way to cross-promote. I believe it is more than that in this situation. Both designers are well-respected and admired for their distinct and quirky art styles so it's a cool way for collectors to acknowledge their admiration. It's also a testament to a ...

Re: The Smallest Deck of Playing Cards in the World [KS]

Wow, this really got some traction over the last several hours. About 8 hours ago, there were 81 available. Very novel concept and I am eager to see what the full size tuck box and insert look like. As a mini deck SUCKER, I couldn't pass this up, despite the full size price.

Re: Horsemen - Kickstarter 1st June

I feel for Tony. He didn't help matters with the silence, but he went through a lot and there is plenty of animosity on KS surrounding that project. I wanted this to get produced so it's a sad day. I think it took a lot to make the update. Had he remained silent, the deck still wouldn't have been pr...

Re: King Star 2023 Mystery Decks「末那灵识」

Kingstar has been gaining a lot of traction in the collecting world, and for good reason. That being said, this mystery deck approach is gimmicky and doesn't add anything positive to the experience, in my opinion. I would love to see them run a traditional campaign, then do mystery deck sales after ...

Re: Steamboat Arcana 1928 Tarot & The Gaucho's Arcana 1928 by Mark Andrew Smith

This has the potential to be the biggest issue for backers. The back-end shipping approach is risky because backers will have no choice if they want their reward. Also, I can't find any estimates anywhere on the campaign. That's a big deal, in my opinion. Not saying anything shady is afoot, but it's...

It seems they didn't develop a special deck for the 20th Anniversary, if I am reading this correctly. It's just some overstock mystery decks packed in a half-brick box? What a missed opportunity and kind of lame.
