Re: Introducing Learn A Language While Playing Cards

I love languages and playing cards, so I love your idea. (I've studied French, Italian, German, Russian, and Spanish.) However, I am a bit dismayed that even in the sample cards you show, there appears to be a misspelling. (Jack of spades has "quierro" when I'm pretty sure it should only h...

That really wasn't my primary question. What's the Limited Edition version? How is it different?

Re: [vid] Ask Alexander - Conjuring Arts

How many variations of the "Ask Alexander" deck are there? Dan and Dave seem to have one ($7.95) and it's unclear which finish. Penguin Magic shows three items: -- one in Ivory finish ($4.49) -- one in Cambric finish ($4.49) -- and one called Limited Edition ($5.99) Is there really a Limit...

Just a formatting note: your question for exporting a collection shows in the wrong color as the HTML color tag has a typo in it (so shows also just as text).

Re: PRISM: Night playing cards; NOW LIVE ON KICKSTARTER!

I am sad to see this campaign cancelled, but glad it will be relaunched. I realize I'm new at collecting cards, but this (to me) is one of the most beautiful decks I've seen. I'd rather have one of these than two or three decks of some others out there that get all the hype, have people slobbering a...

FYI, it looks like the OP's screenshot on the Kindle Fire HDX tablet (which uses an Amazon-proprietary OS based on Android), too (i.e., unusable).

I just figured that area was still under development.

Playing Card-related silver art

My last post about the new Perth Mint silver aces coming out made me think of other card-related silver art. Here are pics of the four .999 fine silver one-ounce ingots minted in the 1970s by Madison Mint: Coin972(1).jpg Coin973(1).jpg Coin977(1).jpg Coin978(1).jpg (Bear in mind, these are shiny sil...

OBSOLETE: LOST FEATURE - V2 virtually unusable with IE9

A huge "lost feature" for me is that V2 of PCDB is virtually unusable with my go-to browser. Unfortunately, I'm using a once-state-of-the-art PC with Windows Vista 64-bit OS and IE9 is the highest version of IE it will supposedly support. I can do everything I need to do with my PC (quad p...

Re: [dleiber] My Collection

My database is a mySQL database and my display pages and entry/edit pages are done in PHP. I'm sure I have a lot that no one else would want, like a rating from 1 to 5 for...

I just read through all 5 pages of this thread to try to see what symbology of "contraband" I was missing in these cards, but it appears that there really isn't any or very much. There is Latin, Italian, and a bunch of everything else insofar as designs go, but I guess it was misnamed just...

I'm not familiar with the DVD, so I will let someone else comment, but the Tamariz Stack is still popular, I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I think David Blaine uses it even on his recent decks (AKA "mnemonic" stack). You're right. I've gotten a couple of decks in the ...

Mnemonica Miracles DVD set -- Quality?

Hi. Has anyone here seen Juan Tamariz' DVD set "Mnemonica Miracles"?? What are your thoughts about the quality? I'm only asking because the set isn't cheap ($150+) and even in the promo video for it, the fact that the recordings were made over ten years ago is mentioned and a comment is ma...
