That is the Venexiana Gold deck. It was a Kickstarter deck, so you can look it up. I think it was under Half Moon Decks at the time. It is an amazing deck. It was issued before I started collecting playing cards. I was eventually able to find one on eBay for a great deal (but still one of the most expensive decks I have purchased). There were 200 printed, so not insanely rare. Still, a lot of people want that deck. I am feeling this is a deck that has more demand than availability, which keeps its price high. It was Lotrek's first deck with every card stamped in hot foil on the reverse. It may not seem like much by Lotrek's current capabilities, but is still an important work of his. The artwork is also exceptional. If you really want a collection of Lotrek decks, this has to be one of your key decks.
Congrats Adonael in picking one up.

Re: The "White Whale" Wish List
The Venexiana Gold was sold in a somewhat unusual manner; you could order via UC, or you could back the KS project (which was only open for about four days). These were the first $100 decks (as in, that was the price for *new*) that I recall at the time, and there was a limit to how many each person could buy: 2. That was it. Also, they were numbered, and numbers were assigned via a couple of different criteria, and the assignments were made public.

Thanks for that info. I definitely have a problem, as I did not realize I had bought a couple of these decks already. Geesh.

Re: The "White Whale" Wish List
brownsl, that is NOT a problem. However, if you really think it is a problem, please feel free to PM me and I can have a second Venexiana Gold. That will solve your problem, and I will be fine in my extreme excess.
BTW, I love those nice low numbers. Also, thanks rouselle for that background information. I was even able to find the UC name of the person that originally owned my deck. I think it important that folks not familiar with this deck understand that back when it was first sold, it cost $100 initially. That was an insane price back at that time for a deck of playing cards.
