[lolo] My (starting) collection

Unread post by lolo »

Hello,

You can see my short introduction here : http://unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4279" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I start collecting cards when I was looking for a good looking deck for my children. I found "Emotions" deck funny and bought it. I bought several other decks with it and finally found Kickstarter and just after this forum.

Actually, I'm collecting only modern deck. I try to get at least two decks (one to open and play with and another one for presentation or futhur reselling). I'm quite impetuous and I buy a deck by blow of heart.

I will start soon to show you my decks...

Where. Can. I. Get. Those.

Those look awesome, and I don't care what they're printed on.

Are they bridge size btw?

They are bridge sized. You can find them on ebay.fr (One million paco rabanne poker / carte / jeu). I have found mine on "www.leboncoin.fr" (a site like craigslist) : 10 euros for two decks shipping include - one open, one still scealed.

The cards stock quality and finish are very bad. Even shuffling is difficult : the cards tend to stick each others.

Bicycle Emotions Deck

Unread post by lolo »

This deck is the one with which I play the most with my son. He really likes the emotions on the courts and the black background.

My daughter is terrified by the king of spade ("Nooooo, not the hungry man") !

I've said it several times before, but the 1800 series is hands down my favorite "found in my grandpa's attic" style cards.

Answer me this: do you have the blue version? Because I opened mine and it came with an extra queen of hearts...except she's red. And I don't know if it's a gaff card or just a packing error.

It's a gaff card : my blue version has a queen of hearts with red back too. When i opened the blue deck, I had the same reflexion.

I have edited the red version and added the gaff card (queen of hearts with blue back).

The blue version of the deck follow.

Lolo ,I`m loving seeing your cards. i like the way you`re showing your decks off. I only see the tuck usually before i buy and don`t really know what the actual cards look like. So seeing your Emotions & Empire decks in their full glory has me droolin` and a few others as well thanks for that. Oh i got my Jekyll & hyde packs in today . those are nice as seen in your last picture. -Jase-

Thank you very much... I would like too show more cards on each image but they would be too small in my opinion. So I limite the cards displayed only to courts of spades + ace, back and jokers.

Tonight (for my time) i will show you the Dr. Jeckill deck.
