Hello everyone and thanks for having me, it's great to be here
First off, my name is Jyl and I'm from Belfast in the North of Ireland. I am in the process of designing a deck of cards that I'm hoping to launch on Kickstarter in the coming months (it's now March 2024).
Since joining Kickstarter in 2015 I have backed 120 decks, and I've been passionate about playing cards my whole life, ever since my Mum taught us how to play poker on family caravan holidays so we wouldn't be bored when it rained
I also have a website selling my own GAA (Gaelic Games) inspired t-shirts and hoodies, featuring all 32 Counties of Ireland.
It's always been an ambition of mine to combine these two interests, and now I'm finally in the process of designing my own deck. The actual card faces are done and the backs are taking shape. The next thing is to decide what to do for the Jokers and of course the Tuck Box.
I understand that this is the place to go for help, advice, hints and tips, and more importantly 'what-not-to-dos' regarding playing card design, social media marketing, and really importantly, Kickstarter campaigns.
I'm not sure if I'm to share images of the cards so far or what the 'done' thing is, so I'd love it if you could guide me in the right direction.
