Despite pasting his earlier update here, I somehow I missed the fact that this will be TWO decks, with the 2nd being the 2nd image here and the one described in that earlier updated I re-pasted here. Awesome!
I'm also planning to include a second unique deck. Carefully redrawn from the original historic sheets, this special deck is a recreation of the source of the playing card pattern we know today - the Rouen deck of 1567 by Pierre Marechal.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the updates and comments, really appreciate the feedback. Hoped to jump in here sooner but burning the midnight (3am) oil on the campaign. So racing up to launch date, and yes have decided to attempt to fund two decks.. and the MetalLuxe. Ambitious but will give it a shot.. Here are a few extra screenies from the campaign, the second Rouen 1567 deck being a recreation of the original deck. Always happy to hear feedback.

Thoughts on a special premium run - Red Seal or Gold Seal?

Ha thanks Bruno. Well there was a strong temptation to rework the historic art, but I've kept it as accurate as possible. Tho I may have tidied it up a little ;)

This decks are going to be phenomenal...

Looking at the JoS it seems that there's something missing on his hand.. Also I thought you would went with the shaded version you showed earlier on this thread, but I love it either way!

I noticed that too. Is it just a rendering error? There's something missing in the Jack of Spade's hand.

The Lady parades her finery, with a kind of swinging sashay, leading with the hip .... allowing the full display of her high caste wardrobe.
She steps through the ages, right out of her time, right off the card !
Pretty cool of yourself and Marechal to give her life.
Tho' her nose is unkind. :)

Bruno, Rick can only "fix" those old cards so much before they aren't true to the originals.

Should he lose the indices? Maybe not if we want a playable deck of cards.

I think they are looking awesome!

Yeah Bruno, let the Queen "walk like an Egyptian" if that's how she was drawn way back when. :D

The new JoS does look like he busted his index finger though. Glad you'll heal him Rick.

Final critique: On the Rouen deck, the Queen of Diamond's right hand seems to be bracing her hand on air. Shouldn't she just be resting her fingers on waist?

I'm really looking forward to this project.

Awesome project, as always - Rick's Origins was one of the first decks I purchased to "study" playing cards (the other was Requiem by LG :D )
Can't wait!

Also, I absolutely love the theme (and I think you can guess why... :ugdance: )

Haha brilliant. I've actually reduced some of the detail recently so these things have gone bye bye ;). All set for the campaign, I'll continue to refine. Thanks for the feedback guys, hope to see you on KS :)

The project page doesnt show up under "playing cards" section of kickstarter, or any other section other than "all games" could lead to issues with non forum members coming across it.

I got a half brick of the original so maybe with this one I might too to boost funding toward the third Metalluxe deck. If it's unlocked would it be an add-on or in a tier?

Mixed half brick for me! May even go higher, lets see how finances will do until the end of the project!
I'm cutting down on the majority of KS projects, but not on this one!

59% funded, can't understand how this is not yet funded, so lets get the word going... Towards MetaLuxe!! :D

They appear to have fixed it now though it is under playing cards. But the first day it was not so people who sort by "newest" may well have missed it.
