Hi there my friend.
Something Funky is going on with your pictures..The Run Heat deck looks fine but the "at the card table" & "Red wheel" decks look tall and thin..
I must get me a Red Wheel deck.... Thanks for posting

Yeah, I used different programs to resize them. Don't worry I will use the same one next time. The Red Wheel deck is pretty awesome though!

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
Hiya my friend
Loving having you back, some very nice decks Where`s the Fan`s
You`ve mentioned that your a Magician. do you do mainly card magic?
Do you utilize Decks made for Magic (i.e Stripper decks, Marked decks ?) If yes, which is your favourite ?
I recently bought a "Paul Daniels" marked deck from 1984, bit before your time but my generation grew up watching the Paul Daniels Magic show on t.v , a nice memento of those times.
Do you use "Gaff" cards, what the best you`ve used, i like to see them in decks but can`t quite fathom out how they can be used for magic:lol:
Anyway ,great thread keep it coming

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
Hello Jock. I was doing the spread instead of the fan, as I thought it looks nicer and is easier to take a picture of. Can do the fan's if its preferred
Yes, I only do card magic, other magic is not my thing (tried a bit of coin magic, didn't like it though). I have a Invisible, Svengali and Stripper deck. Love all of them for different reasons. My favourite is probably the Svengali as the reactions are very strong. Don't use them too much though as I prefer having impromptu tricks so I can do them when I wan't + I have a few "inbuilt" marked decks (such as the Mechanics deck which I use quite a lot)
Paul Daniels was a legend. It was very sad when he passed away. He was my dad's favourite magician!
I do have a lot of Gaff cards in my decks, most common are the double backs and face. Love using the double face for "Here then There" which is a trick by David Blaine. It's very effective and gets some stunning reactions. There are some strange gaffs such as custom ones which I have never seen before. Such as the ones from the Black Scorpion deck. Blank faces are used a little bit, but I don't use them as I can never find an effective trick to use them in.
Hope this had answered you questions. Sorry if I missed one typing very quickly
No deck today, lot of revision to do
Will do one tommorow though

Today's deck is quite a rare deck from Kings Wild Project and Jackson Robinson. This is the Sherlock Holmes Baker Street edition. It's a beautiful deck with lovely designs and a numbered seal (I have 0844/2800). Hope you enjoy this deck.

Yeah, I really need to get the rest of the set and display them on a stand or something as this is the only Sherlock Holmes deck I have at the moment.

Today we have the Bicycle Rejuvenate deck. This deck has a lovely green and gold design and I hope you enjoy them. My 7 year old cousin loves these. She calls them "The Selfie Deck" becuase of the way the courts are designed.

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
Sorry for no pics in a while revising for exams. Anyway this is quite a recent addition. The Victorian Room deck. Very elegant and uses a cut out on the box at the back, very similar to the Aurum deck. Sorry for only 3 pictures and they are bad quality. I was scared because the camera was about to die.

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
My uploading scheldule is horrific. I guess now that my GCSE's are all done and dusted.
Time to get back in the swing of things
Today's Deck
Bicycle Nocturnal Playing Cards
Collectible Playing Cards
Designed by Juniardi Satyanagara
I think most of CPC's cards are, meh. However I do really like some and I have them in my collection. These are no execption and I have the Fireworks and Starlight which are buy the same designer. Let's have a look at some pics.
The tuck is, Eh, Standard CPC tuck, OK design even though I really like the font. Normal Glossy material. OK I guess. But they could have done SO much more. I mean where are the werewolves which this whole deck reminds me of.
I really, really love this back. I already like the blue and red colour scheme and, just the orbs and red spikes around the edges really remind of werewolves, and before I go any further. No, there are no werewolves in this deck.
Overall, Great Back Design
This is normally where CPC lack, their courts normally look really deformed and there bodies stretched. (If you want to know what I mean have a look at their Killer Clown Deck. Ugh )
However, I guess this courts are OK as their are the standards with a new colour scheme. Black replaced with a nice blue. They are pretty decent, I guess. Nothing special though. I do like the A of Spades though. Love the colours
I brought the Fan back!!!
These cards handle better than I thought they would. They are a black themed deck so they peel at the sides which is expected. However I thought that the amount of ink is used they would handle poorly, but they're not bad. Not something I would perform with though.
So that's that. Hope you like the new format. If you have any questions about my collection, magic or cardistry. Please don't be afraid to ask.
Also, if you want to have a deck "reviewed" Have a look at my portfolio in my siggy and drop a comment.
Thanks!

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
Hello again. Time to have a look at the next deck.
Today's deck is:
Red Mailchimp
Theory 11
Designed by Mailchimp
This deck I have always wanted. I love the colour scheme and I love it when Theory 11 put proceedings to a charity. I love the colour red and mixed with the black is such as wonderful combination. On too some pictures
I LOVE this tuck. Great material used to give it a great feel and when hit with light the red reflects and it makes it pop really nicely. The red and black contrast really well and it's just a great box to see and feel.
Again, I also love this back design. The blue and red contrast really well and makes sure you can see it, which is why I prefer the Red deck to the Black edition. The really thin borders make the design stand out even more especially in fan's and spreads. The actual design on the back of the cards, kinda reminds me of Delirium Prism but, Hey that's just me
Overall, solid back design.
It's not often that T11 make custom courts, but when they do it's always amazing (Animal Kingdom, Medallions, Rarebit) just to name a few. These are great and they are a bit funky with the monkeys. I think these courts look really nice and they make the deck it's own. Really great courts with a great colour scheme. The ace
also has this lovely scheme and really makes me think of Delirium Prism. Strange
They handle great. As do all T11 decks and the thin borders make the deck look wonderful in fans. That's about it really. A wonderful deck that looks stunning.
Thanks for having a look at me collection.

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
Hello again!
Here is today's deck
Guy Hollingworth Playing Cards - Burgundy Edition
Designed by Guy Hollingworth (Really?)
Produced by D&D
I really like this deck and there are two colours released at the moment. The Burgundy and the Emerald, which I love, however it is much more expensive
I love this colour scheme and they feel much different to other D&D decks. They also look like they are bridge size because of the gold foiling around the edge but, of course they are not. Let's get into some pictures.
Here is the tuck, which is great. Pretty standard D&D stuff considering there tucks are nearly always great. Lovely material and very simple with the GH logo in the middle. Mine is obviously the Burgundy edition which is not used very often in decks and I think it should be used more as it's a lovely, deep colour. Great gold foiling on the side of the box which completes the effect. Very professional look, which is expected from this deck.
My favourite type of back design. The shapes repeated over and over again. This time it's just the GH logo with some gold foiling. Wonderfully simple and really easy on the eyes. The deep burgundy and the bright gold foiling really contrast and work well together. As said before the gold foiling on the edges of the cards, for me makes it feel like a bridge size deck. But, I am weird so probably not everyone else.
Pretty standard courts which are great to perform with as they are not suspicious at all and are very luxurious with a nice touch on the classical colour scheme. Adding some gold foiling on the courts which makes them really pop. The A of Spades creates a great line drawing with the GH logo which is unique as it's different from the one on the back and tuck because they added the lines. Really great designs.
They handle different but they really do handle great. It's a much silkier feel to standard D&D cards but they still have that snap which is nice. Those gold borders look superb in fans because they all blend together to create a great pattern.
Thanks for having a look at my cards. I hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks again!

Re: [youngtomlin] My Collection
I agree, these are very nicely designed, with great attention to detail.
The lines do suggest bridge size, making the poker width more svelt.
