For that amount of money, they could at least spin an entertaining yarn about why it's "lucky".

Must be due to the cost of getting the rights / approval from them (those alive) or their family (those who died). :?:

These are half the price of the other deck; a real bargain:

If any of these sell, I may try to get rid of a couple of the unopened decks I have.

Well in the seller's defense, the second auction is for 270 decks. Still expensive per deck but that brings the total price more into reality.

Oops, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out. I checked out the $6,000 auction and noticed it was it was for 540 decks, which works out to about $11.11 per deck, the same as the as 270 for $3,000. The sellers have different names but I'm guessing they are the same person. In any case, I can't imagine who would buy such large amounts of this deck.

This seller does not know much about these ...and i think had some bad information given to him when he got the deck (500 years old   )

Any way starting bid of £100,000 or buy me now at £250,000

Does this guy have any provenance to these items or just his words?

He may not be a historian, but is he blind? One of the cards says 1793.

4 of coins. It's not too clear in the photos, but would be more easily seen in person.

Funny, it says only 1 left but when I added 2 to my cart, it accepted it. Wouldn't you want to block that from happening if indeed there was only 1 available? Could cause some confusion. Of course, there could be another explanation...

Talisman wrote:$1K for 1 deck....need I say more?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/EPCC-David-Blai ... Swxp9W3FJT
Funny story:

I posted above market value to receive the best payment available. I got a few offers from a super low-baller who sent a message and claimed, "I own more than a few of these and this deck isn't worth close to what you're asking for", put nicely (my first return offer was $500). IMO not good business to piss off a seller that has something you want...

The deck sold to a buyer that offered me $800.

Morale of the story: If you don't ask you may never know the answer. In this case, if you could make more money, you'll never know if you don't ask for more.

Dunno. You can get the same deck for $9.50, though.

It actually stated 12 decks on the description. So $95 for 12 decks is pretty reasonable
