Wow. That looks pretty cool! Any idea about the age of the deck?

I did found their website online. If they still use this deck, maybe they would be willing to sell brand new ones...? :D

Well the info card has the year 1995, I believe, on it, so not likely.

Awesome find, Victor! A very nice deck indeed...interesting that you found it for the Sky Dancer Casino as Dazzleguts posted a deck with the same courts for Casino Regina in the North America thread of Worldwide Time Machine.

viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5413&start=20" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Roope, if they are still are using them, I doubt you could get an unused deck, but you could probably get a used one with the corners rounded off like Victor's. I am definitely interested in finding a deck as I like those courts :ugdance:

My Casino Regina deck came in a plain Gemaco box instead of a casino box, and it was unused. I had a second one that I sold so they don't seem too rare. Both were thrift store finds here in Canada. They have an interesting almost pebbled surface that glides very well.

From what I remember when I first found and researched this deck there were a few different First Nations casinos that used this court pattern. The pattern itself is called Arrowhead due to the spade ace.

Will we be seeing more of this collection?

Nice one, Victor!

For anyone who doesn't know - Canada uses "First Nation" where in the states we say "Native American" or American Indian.

So... you're asking if we can give YOUR thread preferential treatment?

Seriously though, this is the correct section for it. And the less we put in New & Custom, the more traffic other sections (like this one) will get.

Hi!
It's not really a new deck (although I just added the Icons Imperial recently thanks to Rappy!), I am very excited about this:

Solid mahogany box with lid, made to measure by Lorenzo's friend in Sweden, all thanks to him! Fits 36 decks, tight but not too much and perfect design to put the decks in and out easily. It can be displayed vertically as a shelf if desired.

It's really great! Gonna be difficult to select 36 favorites though.

Am away from home but wanted to check in here.
Very nice box! I pick up boxes at garage sales and thrift stores but fitting the decks in, and getting them out again, can be a challenge. One that worked especially well is a nice looking long box I found that has a hinged lid and holds one row of decks, 4 deep. I can't remember how long the row is...maybe 8 decks long? The box houses my early fave vintage and antique decks, some of which I recently swapped out. I agree it can be really hard to pick favourites.

Very nice finds jo213. I am curious to see what the Firehost cards look like. If they are open could you show them?

I've found a few decks in my travels and will post them here when I get back.

Ran across a few decks I have not seen before at Barnes & Noble of all places this evening - Green & Red T11 Nationals and a USPCC Autobike No. 1 reprint. The Green & Red Nationals are not currently listed on the T11 website.

It looks like three decks are available on Barnes & Noble.com.

Literally zero idea about what this is, but I am not going to say no to a new custom deck for 3,25 USD + 5 USD for shipping.

"Item location: Mouth at Yangtze River, China"

That's oddly specific

I haven't posted much lately but, I had to show off my latest. My daughter and son-in-law recently went to Japan and brought me Snoopy Museum decks. You can not get in the Museum shop without a ticket and even then you can not make a purchase without showing your receipt at the register. They were shocked at how incredibly crowded it was for a Wednesday mid-day. The courts are standard and not every card has a drawing but, I have pulled out the ones that do.

This is my first post in this thread. I thought it would be nice of me to start posting the decks I get, even though I don't buy a lot of decks. Anyway, not as much as I would like.
Friday I received these decks, which was a very nice surprise, getting all in the same day.
Until now, I opened only the Nouveau and Ambassadors decks.
Sorry for the quality of the photos, it isn't the best.

I've seen this deck on eBay a time or three, but none of the cards were shown, so I gave it a pass, as I only wanted it if it had custom courts. So, thanks for answering THAT question for me!

Found this Finnish custom deck from a Finnish online buy-and sell site. Never seen it before, all I know about it that it's Finnish (YAY!) and that's about it. It hasn't arrived yet, just bought it today. The add card is in Finnish and Swedish and the Joker says Jokeri, which is how you Joker in Finnish.

I am always on the lookout for casino decks and just snatched a very decent priced Dunes Red deck. Besides the 2 mint sets on ebay for thousands of dollars, I rarely see any in good condition for less than $500. (there is one opened deck for $750 in mint condition)

The one I just got only has 1 joker but the deck is in amazing condition with no creases on the cards. basically looks unused. The tuck is in fair condition but for $85 it was a no brainer :ugdance:

I bought this old Russian mini deck from an antique shop here in Kuopio some weeks ago. The box has taken some hits and it most likely was originaly a two deck box, the other deck however was missing. Still, it was cheap and it looks kinda cool.

Nothing too crazy but T11 decks are hard to come across and expensive here in Italy so Ale did really well finding these for me at Xmas :)

I really like the simplicity of the white and gold Artisans...

This was my 'office' setup yesterday afternoon.

As you can see the deck is gorgeous. The printer is a company called Modiano, which still makes decks to this day. The Ace of Hearts has a stamping with the year 1942 in it, so I assume that is the printing year. The seller actually had another of these (which was in slightly rougher shape), if anyone is interested I can pick it up. The price was 20 €.

I bought this one double deck and two mini decks from an antique store in Siena, Italy yesterday.

Image

First is this mini ddeck, printed by Russell & Morgan Co before they changed their name to United States Printing Company, so the deck has to be from before the year 1891. Didn't have a tuck box and is missing the 10 of Spdes sadly. I can take more pics if anyone wants to see any.

Image

Image

Image

Next is this Dondorf, which was printed in 1920's, the Italian tax stamp was stamped to the Ace of Hearts in 1928. The tuck box is missing the tuck flap and the Joker is gone, if there ever was any.

Lastly this Dal Negro double deck from 1970's. The back designs suck, but the court cards are rather nice.

All these costed me only 10 € :D I have a feeling though that I got them cheaper because my parents chatted in Italian with the nice old lady running the store for some time while I was browsing the cards.

I don't have pictures, since I trashed my phone pretty good and all the pictures that I take with my camera look like taken during a sandstorm. But my latest pick-ups and arrivals were, besides several cardistry cards:

Lotrék Faible
TWI Odissea NPU
TWI Order Occultus
TWI Evil Deck
KWP Federal 52 White Reserve Note unbranded
KWP Federal 52 Silver Certificate unbranded
KWP Six Foot Five
KWP Revival Cycles limited and the grey standard
KWP Valley Forge Standard
Legends 1st edition blue
and some green David Blaine Gatorbacks

I came home from the 52plus joker convention with nearly 80 new decks.
I'll try to post some pictures over the weekend
