Love the courts on the Italian deck. I'll have to keep my eye out for one of those!

I got mine from Naipeszaca.com. They do have international shipping, although it is a bit pricey, even within Europe. But I think that the deck was like 4,40 € so you might want to try to check if a 1 or 2 deck order would stay within reason.

"Giochi di corte" means "Court games" this deck was printed in 1991 by Cambissa of Italy, Timmel was actually an artist named Vito Thummel (1886-1949)
A very nice deck, i think i`ll get myself one...thanks for showing
The Cosmos deck had me flumuxed for a while.
Carvelli Freres of Cairo is actually a Tobacconist firm. They had Playing cards made for them by De La Rue of England in 1935-1939 hence the Goodall court cards. From the 1940`s onwards the local firm Amirayan simply copied these cards in order to produce cheaper cards. i see Naipeszaca.com has them listed as 1950`s which is about right for a later printing by Amirayan.
Hope this helps

Hey Raply,
Can you edit your posts so we know which cards are from what deck please? You're going to bankrupt me with all those great decks at that site you provided.
Thanks.

Cross posted from the UC2017 Fifth Annual Decks project Avant-garde - I got a pair of each deck early, Dave Edgerly just got them from the Austin inland port Wednesday. They should be shipping fulfillment starting next week.
The tucks (all foil, no ink), Jokers and a sample suit of courts from both the UC green Dec will the Royal House courts and the blue version with Edgy Brothers standard courts.
Also today, Sunish's Devine Art deck arrived. Since I have a prototype, I won't open this LE deck, one of 500:

Been a while since I posted to this thread. A few decks from the thrift store.
The Game of Thrones turned out to be a disappointing standard deck with G of T backs.
The one in the center is a vintage Club Reno Pinochle set from Arrco, with "Ripple" finish and Fortuna Bona Ace of Spades.
The colourful thick deck is from the movie Cars. I wouldn't have been interested except it's lenticular.
The one on the far right was a surprise. I don't normally go for birds and flowers backs, but the courts and pips were an interesting custom design. They're from Punch Studio.
The Giraffes are a nice old 'made in China' deck with vintage graphics for the ace and jokers.
The Check-Mate decks are from 1989 and officially endorsed by FIDE World Chess Federation. They have 52 different end-games on the faces (not the backs like the box says).
Africa Match is a deck featuring a hand carved relief print face on each card, made by emerging artists.
Last, and a current fave (I'm a sucker for glow in the dark) is the Night Glow deck. It has a retro 1970s look, with it's amber box and tree back, but is probably a modern Umbra deck. I love this box and card back.

The faces are typical Umbra minimalism and they do glow.

I just came across this yesterday at a local thrift shop and thought it was a find worth sharing. A casino deck with nice custom courts and more. It's a Gemaco deck with cut corners for the Sky Dancer Casino in North Dakota which I had never heard of before, but looks pretty neat, glad I found it.

Wow. That looks pretty cool! Any idea about the age of the deck?
I did found their website online. If they still use this deck, maybe they would be willing to sell brand new ones...?

Well the info card has the year 1995, I believe, on it, so not likely.

Awesome find, Victor! A very nice deck indeed...interesting that you found it for the Sky Dancer Casino as Dazzleguts posted a deck with the same courts for Casino Regina in the North America thread of Worldwide Time Machine.
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=5413&start=20" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Roope, if they are still are using them, I doubt you could get an unused deck, but you could probably get a used one with the corners rounded off like Victor's. I am definitely interested in finding a deck as I like those courts

My Casino Regina deck came in a plain Gemaco box instead of a casino box, and it was unused. I had a second one that I sold so they don't seem too rare. Both were thrift store finds here in Canada. They have an interesting almost pebbled surface that glides very well.
From what I remember when I first found and researched this deck there were a few different First Nations casinos that used this court pattern. The pattern itself is called Arrowhead due to the spade ace.
Will we be seeing more of this collection?

Nice one, Victor!
For anyone who doesn't know - Canada uses "First Nation" where in the states we say "Native American" or American Indian.

So... you're asking if we can give YOUR thread preferential treatment?
Seriously though, this is the correct section for it. And the less we put in New & Custom, the more traffic other sections (like this one) will get.

Hi!
It's not really a new deck (although I just added the Icons Imperial recently thanks to Rappy!), I am very excited about this:
Solid mahogany box with lid, made to measure by Lorenzo's friend in Sweden, all thanks to him! Fits 36 decks, tight but not too much and perfect design to put the decks in and out easily. It can be displayed vertically as a shelf if desired.
It's really great! Gonna be difficult to select 36 favorites though.
