The decks will be printed by LPCC, tuck cases will be foiled and embossed, we are also working with a renewed and historical typography in Turin (Italy) to bring you some unique special edition...

I love the Avernum deck one of my favourites, only thing I don't like in that deck is the box, everything else is exceptional.
About this one... Sorry to say but not excited at all... The artwork looks more a downgrade than an upgrade... Only thing I like on this new version is the box (well and the backs).... Would you consider to have tuck boxes as an add-on, that could lead me to pledge.. otherwise, not sure, even worst with all the great decks already on KS you may find some hard time to get this funded...
Either way wish you the best of lucks...

The Avenum project has always been considered by us a "preview" of the Inferno project, with an "unfinished" style.
Anyway, you can see for yourself the differences here.
Then, of course, everyone is entitled to have his own opinion.

Love both styles of the artwork! I am definitely getting a few decks, just wish the launch time was better for me...oh well, can't be perfect timing for everyone Best of luck!
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

I understand that, but maybe is just because of that "unfinished" style that I like it.Conturbia wrote:The Avenum project has always been considered by us a "preview" of the Inferno project, with an "unfinished" style.

Then, of course, everyone is entitled to have his own opinion.
The finished style looks to computerized... And by that I mean, lacks some emotion or expression, the artwork looks to stiff... I don't know, as I'm not a art guy, but that the way this deck makes me fell. As oposite to what it was suppose to.. When you try to bring Dante's Inferno to a deck of cards and the impression that you make (to me at least) is that it is too void, then I think that something is not right.
This is just my opinion, and maybe I'm the only one, but that the way it makes me feel!
As mentioned before, wish all the luck and hope you keep bringing nice decks to the market!

I think this looks really good! Love the choice of source material, The Divine Comedy has inspired so many great works of art throughout history.
Too bad my budget doesn't allow me to get more than a pair, that double deck edition is a neat idea.

I understand that this thread is not that interesting for you anyway, I just want to tell you that we are preparing a nice surprise for the owner of the Avernum deck. It will be linked to the current campaign, so stay tuned

I hope there's a way to get the gift besides the campaign! I bought the original Avernum the first time, but can't afford this campaign, though!

Yes, but unfortunately it will be more expensive, now I rely on the fact that the shipping will be combined.jsantafe wrote:I hope there's a way to get the gift besides the campaign! I bought the original Avernum the first time, but can't afford this campaign, though!

You got me for the "book set" so I can't wait to get these cards! Does the Avernum gift apply to add on deck or the Inferno FB event Avernum sale too?Conturbia wrote:I understand that this thread is not that interesting for you anyway, I just want to tell you that we are preparing a nice surprise for the owner of the Avernum deck. It applies to all of the Avernum owners so, yes, the FB event Avernum sale counts too.RichK wrote:You got me for the "book set" so I can't wait to get these cards! Yes it is possible... the black box is divided in two by a folded red separator, on one side you have the original deck with the paper wrapping, on the other side, only padding. When you open the deck you can keep the opened paper on one side and the deck with the new tuck case on the other side.jsantafe wrote:Looks awesome! Thanks!

Of course you need to assemble the tuck case, but it's a piece of cake
