Ravn purple

Hi all,
while I am working on new deck (The House of the Rising Spade), in a parallel and much shorter track I am also working on Ravn Purple.
Not just a recolor, new ace of spades so far, working on the jokers and deciding the 2 gaff cards.
We will launch a short kickstarter campaign, one color only.

Ravn crimson red and petrol green are sold out and we decided to release a new version.
Since this deck works very well as "consumable deck" for cardistry and magic (which was the purpose), we decided for a purple back.

Also, we decided something special for this one. We unveil it once the final decision has been made :D

here a few renderings, I hope you like the Ace.
cheers!

Looking forward to back this Project. I hope you use that "natural pearl" paper again for the tucks to match the other 2 decks which turned out great ;)

I wouldn't mind if this deck comes out in multiple colors but I'll still like to see black since that's the color of a raven. How about some kind of foil this time?

HI! thanx for the feedback!
there will not be foil on the cards because as "consumable deck" i cannot cost too much :(
Soon we will unveil what will be very different from the previous version, if things go as planned eheh

i keep you posted
cheers

Will there be display decks, where the tuck is really modest and plain, but the price is low?

I remember when Kings Wild did something like that and for $5, it was really great to get some decks for cheap and to use on a regular basis.

Hi!
There will not be display decks, because the problem with display decks is the shipping cost which makes them as expensive as a normal one. Not to mention international shipping fees that are increasing every year. I remember Jackson did it, but I think he dropped this option because of that...

Jackson did a display deck for the Pearl Tally-Ho's at $10, fancy dark box.

Will the Joker colored text look more purple? Looks very red still. I'm guessing you didn't change that on the card yet so you cold show off the Ace.

Hi all,

the tweaks and the changes to the second edition of Ravn Playing Cards are almost done.
Me and Caroline are planning the kickstarter campaign I think we will launch in April, 2weeks campaign.

Purple back
New Ace of spades
New jokers, but with the same elements as the previous one
Tweaks and fixes to the faces of the court cards.
New gaff cards
and... something else that it is a secret for now. O_O

Live long and prosper! lol

I don't know if you were actually going for the "Live long and prosper" hand gesture, but if you were - you got the thumb wrong ;)

BREAKING NEWS!

We are going to print this at Cartamundi :D

WHY CARTAMUNDI AND NOT USPCC?

This is the important part. Cartamundi jumped in the world of cardistry and magic with a new paper stock and finishing. It's been tested at the cardistry convention in Berlin in 2016 and it was a success. I have a sample and it is really great. Designed for better handling and durability, this paper is called Cambric 310gr black core paper with 9C² finish.

What do you think? :)

Looking forward to it!

Glad to see Cartamundi stepping up and stepping in. It is my firm belief not only that EPCC/LPCC have joined USPCC as a top tier manufacturer, but also that WJP is making very serious strides in that direction (their recent decks are really quite good) and NPCC is trying to do likewise (I haven't received any of their more recent projects yet, but I should be, soon, and I look forward to seeing how close they are getting). Cartamundi has the history and the customer base to support their push in this direction. Having them step up like this can only push USPCC to get better, too, and we all benefit when that happens.

I keep thinking this playing card bubble is going to burst, but instead, it just keeps getting more interesting.

Now, all we need is another United States manufacturer to also step up. Hey, Gemaco! Are you listening? Hey, Liberty! Any chance you want to up your game? :-)

Being a Cartamundi doesn't make it less appealing at all. Looking forward to this deck. The cheaper the better! ;)

Cartamundi has a long history of making playing cards. Great to see them step up and make a true working deck.

Looks great, good move. I just wish that Fournier wasn't hand tied by USPCC to try and do something similar with custom decks, some of tgeir process is really top notch.

Thanx everyone, to be honest i was expecting a small riot ahah just kidding.
As you know I like to dare. I have a sample deck called Touch Cardistry Origin, and it is great.

Prices will be more or less as Ravn1 even if there are new usps shipping costs :(
We'll try to make very nice deals for the backers.

Ah, it will be a 2-weeks campaign, not 30 endless days. Simple, quick, and with a couple of stretch goals.
Stay tuned :)

Is there an update on when this one is happening?

Hi all!
we worked on the campaign and I think we are ready. We launch on monday 17, at 17:17 Central Europe Time ahha
2-weeks campaign

Feel free to take a look and comment on kickstarter, we did our best to keep the prices down, but as you know every year shipping costs raise and those are things we cannot control.

Awesome! :ugdance: Great selection of the launch date and time! I am definitely in for at least a brick, but was wondering whether there will be another way to get a signed deck aside from the Purple Ravn tier as I don't need the close-up pad or uncut :?

I'm in for 3× Ravn Purple Touch deck. I love simple, one-deck campaigns where the cards look good.

I'm very curious to see how these Cartamundi stock feel compared to the original USPCC stock.

Also, I really thought there'd be a surprise second color like black, if for no other reason than to have a matching hand to go with it...
So disappointed /s

Monday:
9:17AM Pacific Time /
12:17PM Eastern Time

I've missed a launch or two messing up conversions.

EDIT: This is not correct apparently. Looks like I would have missed another launch.
