I'm more interested in the white edition if the goal is reached.

While describing cards, the word "luxury" has been used too much.
"When I like something, I buy. No matter who did it, how many were printed or how many (re)colors exist.

When I don't like something, I pass. No matter who did it, how many were printed or how many (re)colors exist."

Hello guys,
thank you to follow our project. This is our first playing cards project so hope did everything well.
Thank you badpete69 to have shared it into this forum.
jerichoholic we waited one month to lounch the project but every week someone posted a new one so ...yes...there are many project you are on right.
Bikefanatic we had to run a poll to decide wich color was the first to lounch...and the black one win.
Hope to see all the three colors born....it's not excluded production of 500pcs of white edition if the goal is not reached...but depend by pledge level..stay tuned!

P.S. sorry for our english :)

With a name like Agape I was expecting all the courts to have their mouths open.

You have such an elegant back but looking at the front all I see is gray. The pips should be solid colored with your curls added. The courts, while I like the full crown, need more color, especially on the faces. They all look ill to me.

Sorry to be so critical.
Move on, nothing to see here.

The grey color of the front is what killed this project for me.

This reminds me too much of an Elite Playing Cards type of campaign. Too much focus on all the add-ons for a first time artist. I only like the backs and the tuck so far.

I do like the jokers. Very pleasing. Not a fan of the colour scheme and standard courts.

This redesign is actually pretty damn nice! I am not a fanof the back design, but other than that these are pretty sweet.

That was funny Vasta. I guess you could ask Lotrek the meaning, as the word is Greek.

I'm not quite sure where he is going with the symbolism in this new campaign. The theme is completely Greek mythology. However, In the description the creator gives this explanation for the name and theme of the deck:
AGAPE is the name we’ve choosen for our first deck of cards, in latin language it means “caritas” , brotherly immense love. It is used in christian theology to show God’s love for human race. Agape, for the very first christians, was a charitable practice consisting of a community banquet with Mass. Agape is free love given by someone who gives all himself to the others without pretending nothing in return, this is why it is unconditional and absolute. The principal theme is the heart which represents love for family, for friends and for the others
It's the same description as the first campaign which didn't have a very distinct theme. It looks like he decided to go in a slightly different direction this time ;)

That being said, I really like the new design. I'm just not sure I trust LPCC anymore. They may be based in Taiwan but where are the cards actually being printed?

I backed because there was an early bird and if they reach the gold foil backs stretch goal I’ll want one. If not I’ll probably drop it before campaign ends.

Agape is really not an uncommon word in English... you might as well object to "therapist" because it spells "THE RAPIST."

[insert Arrested Development joke here]

That said, I'm likewise not sure how well the name jibes with the (very welcome and vastly improved) revamp. The majority of the figures selected don't exactly have a reputation for selfless love and charity. Orpheus and Eurydice seem to be the only good fit, thematically speaking.

I like the decks Parama has since put out, but I still don’t like this one. I like the approach taken with the limited tucks and boxes. I just wish it was paired with something better.

I like the courts and face corner bits and the color change on the two decks. A bit too much black on the Yin (black) back but I'm in.
Move on, nothing to see here.

Also, can this campaign really be considered a relaunch: it's not just a revamped design, it's a completely different deck altogether! Either way, mad props to the creators for going back to the drawing board on this one; these designs are leaps and bounds better than those of the deck in the first campaign.

Hi guys,
sorry if we haven't answered yet but we were thinking about the decisions to take.
We read all your comments, and we realized that many things did not like at all, as the back, the name and the artwork style different from our other projects.
Your comments helped us to see the mistakes, they reflect the general feelings, we thank you ..... maybe it was better to post here before launching it :))
We closed the project half hour ago and we are already working on changes.

Cheers

PPC,

That's a really sporting attitude, please let us know when you relaunch. I personally liked the courts, and much of the design with the exception of the backs, and I had backed at the two limited decks pledge level but, something about it seemed amiss and I had dropped my pledge due to that gut feeling. I hope that you take our criticism constructively and we look forward to another iteration of the design. This last campaign was worlds above the original design. If you make that kind of jump forward in design, you might have an award winning deck on your hands.

I'm joking a little bit when I'm making fun of the name, but I do think it would be a good idea to go with something else.

One thing that I would not change are the aces (other than the name on the Ace of Spades...). They are very, very nice.

Also, thank you for reading our critical responses and taking them seriously. Even if you don't make any changes based on our posts, it's good for everyone to keep artists, creators, and designers in the community.

Hi guys,
after looooooong time, we decide how to renovate the project...

First of all....the name...THEOS
carte-picche.jpg
Second....the back...more intricate as our previous project
31d03326-c04f-4d25-810f-ff28d6f1f88a.jpg
Last thing...the box. About it we thought to make something unique....with the help of Lotrek
doppio back Theos verde.jpg
oh...sorry I forgot a thing....USPCC Bee stock...finally with the best paper of the world!

Project ready to be launched Jan. 23rd...next wednesday, but before everything we want to give your opinion.

Thx a lot

Agree - as to the AoS, why simply not say Parma’s, perhaps in all capitals? Takes less space and definitely less clunky than what you have there now.

Any tuck by Lotrek is a very good tuck [emoji4]

Buona fortuna ragazzi!

We had this issue when naming our cards too. We wanted something Sicilian, and for a while floated 'Putia di Carte' which is a cute way of saying card shop.

However if you ask an English speaker to say 'Putia' whatever way it comes out sounds just a bit rude, especially if you know any Spanish.

It's one of the hardest parts of any project but I like your name 'Parama' so definitely work with that!

I agree with the above about altering that text on the AOS but otherwise in bocca al lupo however you choose to do it.
