I agree, option 2. Problem is, if it's unlocked there won't be much time left to promote it and let backers add it to their pledge!

Well, Pipmen World has finished funding, and I am blown away by how generous and supporting people are. Over 900 backers is almost twice my previous biggest project - thank you all for being a part of it!

I look forward to delivering these decks as soon as possible, and keep an eye out for the full-art deck launching for a very short campaign in a week or so :)

Would it be possible to combine shipping between the two campaigns? Or offered through backerkit, paying double international shipping is really a barrier here.

I was just reviewing this campaign, including the updates, and I noticed the puzzles. I for one love puzzles but I can see this as a problem. In order to produce puzzles at a reasonable rate, you would have to produce many puzzles. I would recommend doing a survey to see how many would want one and the number of pieces to the puzzle. Some like 500 piece puzzles while other may rather have a 10000 piece puzzle. Also, the size of the completed puzzle, will it be small or the size of the uncuts?

This is a great result Ben, congratulations on a well-run Kickstarter, and some fantastic creativity and innovation in deck design. I'm a huge fan - see my pictorial review here.

Making a deck in which the cards combine to form a single image is a brilliant idea! I love the polyptych concept, and am excited about seeing the printed decks in due time.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note that Pipmen: World FULL ART is now live on Kickstarter!

This project addition was due to popular demand, and will be funded and shipped well before the main deck with MPC as the producer.

I have put together some FAQ's if you have any queries here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/58 ... ts/1843338" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks, and hope to see you there :)

This guy apparently doesn't respond to messages on KS.

I got my full art version today. It is very obviously an MPC deck, I really hate their tucks especially. However, their turn around time is awesome and it's great to have a deck to enjoy while waiting for the real one.

I got mine Full art version a day or two as well. Kinda surprised at getting this alone instead of one bulk package.

Unlike many folks here, I'm generally fine with MPC decks. And, of course, I really like the art, which is why I pledged. However, instead of using the linen finish, they opted for the smooth finish, which bums me out (and it would bum me out no matter who the card manufacturer was.)

So, yeah... as much as I like the design and as much as I'm okay with MPC's printing and card stock and coating otherwise, I'm a little disappointed because of the smooth finish. :-(

I hope the "standard" version will have the linen finish!

The "standard" version of Pipmen World was announced as being produced with LPCC's Diamond Finish.

That's definitely an embossed/linen finish. While it feels smoother than a traditional USPCC deck, it is much more durable, has beautifully clean edges, and handles beautifully. The more experience I have with this finish, the more I like it. It has a lot of snap, springs well, and yet fans and spreads evenly and smoothly. The quality of the LPCC decks is consistently outstanding, and in my opinion surpasses that of USPCC decks.

See my article below for a detailed review of Legends Playing Cards, and the different finishes they have available, including the Diamond finish:

If that's how it turns out, then I will remain a happy backer.

The final decks will indeed have Legend's diamond finish high quality finish. The reason I went with MPC for the full art decks was 1) low MOQ, 2) speed, 3) (what I thought was) ease of adding an extra deck to the project which I didn't plan for originally.

Over the course of the last Prism project and this Pipmen world project, I have learned my lesson - never again will I offer saleable decks from MPC. It has been a huge headache, and the quality of cards is definitely below that of LPCC. Having said that, the full art deck was never meant to be a heavily played deck, so as a lighter card stock it will do fine.

In hindsight I should have produced them all at once even if it would have taken a few weeks longer, but you can always make perfect decisions looking back, right?

I hope they are still really cool. It was a blast to make this deck and offer something so unique. I can't wait to finally recieve my copies!

Don't get me wrong; I don't dislike the stock or the cards *in general*. I'm glad to have this design. It's simply that I would have preferred a linen finish as opposed to a smooth finish. I know MPC offers both; I've received other decks of theirs with a linen finish that were just fine (at least, for my purposes. I'm sure they wouldn't be quite as fine for sinjin7 and others. :))

I'm sorry to hear that MPC has been problematic to work with lately. They've provided a useful option to project creators in the past for various situations, and it sounds like they may no longer be as ideal for those circumstances as they have been in the past.

As for Diamond Finish by LPCC, that's an excellent choice, and I'm sure these cards will be a fantastic addition to my collection.

After a very long USPS delay, I received my uncut sheet and decks on Friday. Package was shipped via Priority Mail from Gamblers Warehouse (Grande Prairie, TX) on September 4th and just arrived on September 15th. I know, hurricane disruptions and all, I totally understand. Just wanted people to be aware that if you're waiting for these and the shipping is taking a long time, it's coming, it's just going to be a bit slow.

As far as the decks and uncut sheet are concerned, I haven't opened the decks just yet, but the uncut looks fantastic and is just begging for a space on my wall.

Thanks Ben, love the pipmen projects.

As listed in my personal card thread (more details there), I finally got this uncut framed along with the original one. Had to go landscape because of the width. Definitely some of my favorite of my uncuts.

Oh.. My.. Goodness..

This is literally the coolest thing I have seen done with the Pipmen cards so far!
