HANA Luxury Playing Cards Deck!
"This time around, I wanted to do something that was focused on Japanese culture and be more art-centric than the previous decks I have done. When it came to inspiration and research, I looked at the history of playing cards in Japan as well as the art that makes them special. I must add that I had the assistance of one backer who is particularly insightful with Japanese playing cards and culture (you know who you are!). These are still works in progress that may or may not change and I am looking at an early January launch on Kickstarter! Let me know what you think!"

I must say his Anubis and Osiris decks are *so* amazing. I get crazy compliments from anyone who sees them - just gorgeous! So... of course I'm excited about this new project.

Superb. I have a few Japanese decks and this captures the spirit perfectly without simply cut and pasting. Can't wait to see more!

I have always enjoyed Steve's work, right from the start. This set of decks looks absolutely amazing. Looking forward to this project!

I voted for Steve for DOTY in '15 for Olympia and I'm very much considering Anubis to be my DOTY vote this year. In other words I'll definitely be backing these.

Steve Minty has put out only awesome decks so far. I am positive that this will be another home run.

The tease on this is stunning, I am constantly impressed by Steve's designs and can't wait to see more of this. Anyone know if it will be pulling double duty as a Hanafuda deck? Something along the lines of Ovdiyenko's Arcane deck perhaps?

So it's January already !

So is it safe to assume this will have Hanafuda faces? Will he incorporate poker faces on there also?

I don't believe any pictures have been released yet but Steve Minty never fails to deliver. There will be pictures before he asks for our money, so stay tuned.

I sure hope so, since there's not much time left...

it's almost launch time, or has it been moved? still no idea of what the cards look like, I imagine they'd be freakin awesome, but would like to see if anyone has any intel

I'm pretty sure Steve is actually Pacific time, so possibly it was an error and it's 2 hours from now? Or maybe just late...

I was going off of Bruno's post a while back and he has 12pm PST. I thought he had an inside track so I was planning on noon. Glad I check in as it might go before then.

I saw Bruno's post too but I can't understand him 95% of the time so I wasn't going to take his word as gospel.
