Armed Forces Deck
Here's a preview link to an Armed Forces deck I designed. I started this project years ago, but it didn't go anywhere. Here's a preview link to the Kickstaster page... https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/20 ... n=0c20833c
I'm not 100% done with the page, but feel free to let me know of any mistakes or changes you would like to see?

Hello RJ
The deck looks decent but you know my first thought was that failed Adam project did many years ago. I know some are still waiting for their money back
Anyway sorry to digress

Re: Armed Forces Deck
I'm fully aware of that project. In fact, I and my ex-wife once ran this same project (minus the t-shirt aspect) a few years ago. We ran the project under her account. I made some upgrades to the cards and the main focus for this is the t-shirt side of the business this time around. My friend, who I reconnected with after 25 years, insist that Military people love shirts (and other items) designed specifically for them.badpete69 wrote:Hello RJ

Re: Armed Forces Deck
I do like the back as well. As one who has cut back and never cared for standard courts (even modified standard like these), I'll pass, but it's a still a great deck and wish you the best!
Just so others don't get confused by the comparison image to a different deck, I'm including a few links here.

I put them all in the OP so it's 100% clear heheecNate wrote:I do like the back as well. As one who has cut back and never cared for standard courts (even modified standard like these), I'll pass, but it's a still a great deck and wish you the best!

Re: Armed Forces Deck
My thoughts: It's good, but it's not great. Nothing wrong with it, nice looking symmetric back, and so on. It's one of those "would have been an instant success 3 years ago" decks. And thus, not enough for me to pledge in these times of hardship.

I think that sums up my opinion too.MagikFingerz wrote:My thoughts: It's good, but it's not great. Nothing wrong with it, nice looking symmetric back, and so on. I like it, but it needs something beyond GI helmets and a nice back to tip it for me.
Worth noting that the Armed forces has been done a few times recently (perhaps HR's Army Deck being the most noteworthy). (Not as overdone as skulls, zombies and steampunk though!)
Perhaps as a Brit my patriotism isn't really being tickled here ether lol

Re: Armed Forces Deck
Good question. Given the funding goal and estimated ship date, it wouldn't be one of the big three. Perhaps MPC or WJP?JuFiN wrote:Who is the printer on this deck?

Re: Armed Forces Deck
FYI this deck is available as an add-on to the Apollo project for $9, including shipping to the US.

Not to mention his other decks like Divide of a nation, Global Unrest , History of the Titanic and other Pennsylvania area decks. Cheaper than what you can find on his webstore.

Re: Armed Forces Deck
I just recently got the brown Bicycle Armed Forces deck or whatever it's called. I think I did pledged for this years ago so I might check it out. I like the courts more than anything.

Can you provide a link to the Backerkit page for this? I can't find it with a quick, cursory search. Thanks!vasta41 wrote:FYI this deck is available as an add-on to the Apollo project for $9, including shipping to the US.

Re: Armed Forces Deck
That link won't let me do anything; I need to have backed the original KS campaign, apparently.
Hey, Robert! You still monitoring this thread? Would you be interested/willing/able to shake loose for me the opportunity to pick up a back-deck or two via this backerkit?

Re: Armed Forces Deck
I added one on to the Apollo campaign. Looking forward to these! They're the closest thing to the failed Army Men deck many moons ago (R.I.P. Circle City).
