There is a good argument here for the need and placement of a pun moderator well versed in Finnish vernacular and neologism.
Neh ?

(don't whatever you do, ever mention those beastly Carthagineans)

Received these decks on Monday, February 27th. I am *shocked* by how absolutely tight the registration is on these decks.

Great art, great cards.

The togas... was this already mentioned in one of the Updates? I don't recall. But, the serial numbers on the togas... yeah....

Other than the serial numbers on the togas, this is a perfect project. Great job, Randy!

(Besides, the serial numbers lend a certain charm...)

Hey Rousselle,

I'm glad you like the Decks!!!

There wasn't any update about serial numbers on the Togas, because they were never a feature to begin with. Below is the hero image I showed for the Togas on the KS Project Page.

Here's the copy for the Togas:
"Each Toga will be printed on the same Matte Premium Paper Stock as the main Tuck Boxes, fit perfectly over the main Tuck Box, and will be packaged underneath the Cellophane Wrapping. Both have a 1-Color texture background image + GOLD FOIL for the design elements and my signature."

With my signature and the numbers being in Gold Foil, there's no way they could be variably printed. Before the project launch, I looked into getting variable numbers in a spot color (#001/600, #002/600....). It wasn't possible, because of the odd shape of the Toga Dieline. Since Legends' printer would be printing the Togas, adding them to the Decks, and wrapping them all in Cellophane, it was impossible for me to sign any numbers or signature. The "1 of 600" solution was the only way to go. And I made sure to show the back of the Togas nice and clear in the project page.

The "1 of 600" feature was also discussed in detail during the KS Updates that pertained to the Gilded Decks. The solution to make the exterior of the Gilded Decks unique was the Diecut Gilded Stickers that I would hand-sign and number (and Gambler's would apply to the Togas, and rewrap in Cellophane after Gilding was finished).

I hope that clears everything up. I definitely didn't try to be misleading on the Togas' info, and I hope it didn't come across that way.

thanks, Randy

That was the thing... I *thought* I had seen something about it, but I couldn't remember where, nor find it with a quick scan of the Updates. My bad.

And, it's not a complaint. Not at all!

Love the decks. And, again, the way your design works with the perfect registration is simply an amazing technical achievement. Very happy with the decks all around. :)

It's all good Rouselle! Are you going to the 52 Joker this year in Kentucky? If so, a night of drinks are on me!

I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I wasn't trying to be deceptive.

Lawrence was worried about the perfect registration needed for the Backs and Face Cards. I told him I trust their quality and skill, and they did an exceptional job with the final result. The Imperials were always my favorites, but the Romes are definitely my new favorite of my Decks!

Thanks, Randy

Just got my decks today! Fantastic fans flawlessly and the fans look amazing with the diagonal band of color down the card. Love it!

For a second I thought I had gotten super lucky and actually had number 1 of 600 but it seems so does everyone else xD.

Regardless, the toga sleeve is dope and I would call this project a huge success. :D

Hey Everyone,

For anyone who missed out on the ROME Decks, I now have them up on my Shopify storefront.
I also have a small number of ORNATE Decks available at below-market costs. Long story, but the short version is the last of the ORNATE stock is my "payment" for a few missing Royalty compensations.

Here's the Link to my storefront: https://midnight-cards.myshopify.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

thanks, Randy
