Can they use that name? I would think it's a legal issue.

Damn that's ugly.

Also what has that design have to do with Casino Royale? Did they just threw a random movie name out of a hat and said "This is good. This sells a lot more than Police Academy 7 - Mission to Moscow."

I do not think they are alluding to the movie at all so there is no issue in using that name. It's also a hotel in Vegas besides the 2 movies. I think they are safe in using it. But I do agree that back is ugly

Movie or not, what does it has to do with Casino Royale? Do you see a luxury casino using a deck that looks like a 9 year old desined it? Or what does the design have to do with luxury, royalty or casinos? It is not even a casino style deck! This is one of the dumbest names I have ever seen.

From the BOMBMAGIC web page:

Designed by Bomber Playing Card Co; Printed by TWPCC (Taiwan Playing Card Company)

I wonder if TWPCC is who Legends and Expert use.

This is the Spring/Summer Bright Edition: Casino Stock & Royal Finish. Coming soon is the Autumn/Winter Mystic Edition: Classic Stock & Magic Finish. Also unreleased is the Limited Artist Edition: Artist Stock & Royal Finish.

I wonder what artist stock is.

I agree 100%. There is not one single thing about this deck that even hints at a casino theme. I hate this deck based on the name alone.

Boy lots of uproar over a simple name hehehe

Casino Royale Playing Cards is born to present our brand new Casino Stock + Royal Finish. “Royal” is named by lots of traditional casino playing cards because it’s also to correspond these noble entertainment industries. That’s why we released this brand new Casino Royale Playing Cards. It is designed with traditional casino-styles and has a back of fashion multi-colored diamond. It’s inspired by old casino deck is also implanted with some modern design characteristics. All aces and court cards are newly designed as our previous released decks. Jokers are also presented the spirit of our brand.

So let me get this straight- the deck was named 'Casino Royale' because of the names of the stock and finish?? Without the theme this is one of the most unoriginal names I've ever heard. That's like calling a deck Magical Bicycle or Thin-Crush Classical. Give me a break!

Or Superior Robusto. Heheheh.

The name doesn't bother me. I picked up a couple of decks. I'm hoping the Mystic edition is more muted than the Bright edition. Interested to see that one.
