As expected, Max Playing Cards’ readers deserve to be the first to know. After more than one year, the second deck of the TEXTURE SERIES is ready: WOOD DECK.

After the METAL DECK, already sold out, and following the Bicycle “Rider back” series, this second deck will be dedicated to the wood. “It’s not wood but .. who cares?” would be a great slogan for the deck because the goal is to achieve a visual impression of real wood on high quality Bicycle cards. I have taken care of the smallest detail to provide a realistic and striking design. I have taken into account all the fans, especially magicians and cardists, that will find in this deck a source of inspiration for their tricks and effects. Collectors will also enjoy it a lot because it is a completely customized deck..





As in the deck METAL DECK, this will be produced by Collectable Playing Cards and obviously printed by USPCC and Bicycle branded. It is still early to talk about specific features but I can only say that I am doing all I can to find the best stock for the tuck. The campaign will be quite simple and focused in the deck, that will comprise all the possible extras.

Although there will be for sure some tweaks to do for meeting the ever-capricious printing requirements, the overall designs are finished and the USPCC has even approved the back design, that is always the most stressful part.

I count on your support for the campaign. Of course, I will keep you in the loop about the deck when anything important happens.

Haven't been this excited over a Bike deck in a long time.

This project is for me much more than another deck. I have been working on it for a long time with many personal difficulties to go through. In fact I completely destroyed the first version of the deck to make a new one from scratch.

I sincerely hope you like the new deck.

Although I am not here as often as I would like, I do want to show my appreciation for all UC members and here you have in exclusive the aspect of the card back. It was hard to get the approval from USPCC but the president himself approved it so I felt really happy.

I will show more soon and I think the project launch will be soon. You know Collectable has many projects in KS now so when they are completed I think the Wood deck will be the next one.

well, I don't have specific plans of a number of decks. I have some ideas in my mind but what I am sure is about the next one as my 10 years daughter will get mad at me if I don't create it (it was her idea). I don't want to make fast designs to create a series. I do put a lot of effort in every detail and really want each deck to be special and unique so I am not in a hurry. Let's see how this Wood deck goes and I will begin with the next as soon as I can.

Well, I have a design in mind, really similar to the Metal one, but it depends a lot of the progress of the campaign. We wanted to keep the project as simple as possible. Just the deck, without add-ons or extremely limited editions. I know some creators failed trying to do in that way and had to look for alternatives, something I deeply respect and understand, but I would be really happy if the project could be funded just offering a nice deck that anyone can buy.

I asked Coins For Anything the other day about the possibility of making a coin with metal aspect. I don't like the wood tokens too much and I thought that could be an awesome idea. Unfortunately, they told me they can't make any metal color or material that can look like wood (even if the design tries to help).

Thank you Lotrek! Great artists like you are my inspiration for writing in my website and going on loving playing cards day by day. Texture series and Wood deck is just a way to give something back to the community for their awesome support. I hope to have health enough (and backers enough) to go on creating these decks

Well, deck is the main item and thus the priority. I wish we can fund it fast. We are thinking about possibilities if the project is really a "bomb" but we prefer to be realistic and work in the best possible campaign for the Wood deck.
