The drawings are fantastic- great attention to detail. I'm not a huge fan of the tuck front and assuming that the back of the tuck is the back of the cards, I don't like how it's one-way. Speaking of which I like the courts but also don't like how they're one-way.

Yes, courts is one way. But back design is different.

Really nice back design, I'd like to see more courts. Specifically, how the Kings will be different from the Jacks. From the appearance of the front of your tuck box, it looks like you put all this work into the back and court cards and didn't have anymore energy for the tuck box design, so you just slapped a picture of your King of Spades on the front of the tuck. With all due respect, I think this can be improved upon. The back of the tuck is fine since it references your back design, but since your back design itself is so nice, why not just put that on the back of the tuck box since that is what is traditionally done anyway?

I would strongly recommend taking a look at the Uusi Classic tuck box for inspiration for your tuck box layout since they are thematically similar design-wise. Or better yet, emulate Jackson Robinson's tuck box for his Sherlock Holmes decks if you want a fancier tuck box. I believe your design can utilize a similar intricate embossing and foiling technique to great effect.

Thank you for your feedback.
I wasn't planning to make a back side of tuck with back design. However you maybe right.
Also foiling will be as a stretch goal but without embossing. We planning to use synthetic tuck from EPCC so embossing can be not so good like simple paper tuck.

That's a strong deck! Oddly enough the less appealing part (for me) are the court cards, all the rest looks great! And that back design, really good.
Congrats!

I agree with sms here, the court cards are a bit off for me. Maybe it's because they're looking directly at me? I wonder how they'd look if they looked to the side...
Similarly, the shields on the aces sort of take away from the design because of how simple the shield looks compared to the intricate, uhhh, vines on the card? Not sure how to call that pattern lol :P

I also like everything about this deck (especially the back) except for the courts...definitely would prefer 2 way, especially since the full body presentation does not offer anything special with their armour being so plain... :?

I see that you already have a few images for a Limited Edition version of this deck.
There are crests on the armor of some of the courts on the Limited Edition that were not carried over into the Unlimited Edition, which I think would keep the armor from being so plain, as shermjack mentioned.
I feel like not having color in the Unlimited Edition really causes the courts to lose a lot of their depth.

Thank you all.
For the 2 ways courts - the two-headed courts didn't come into existence until the 1870s so I decided to draw one way.

Is it just me, or does the king of diamonds look out of shape? It looks like he could do with more jousting and less eating of mutton.

I really like the back design.

I'm not a fan of the courts or the spade pip. In addition, I really like the pips to be on both the top and bottom of the card, not just the top.

I absolutely love the jokers.

I would have loved to see the back design on a more traditional deck around this theme.

Maybe in a future I'll make more traditional deck with such detailed backs.

Hi fellows.
Today I want to show you custom seal for this deck. Will be available as a stretch goal for both decks.
And few cards.

That custom seal is a bad idea. With the way the flap is printed, to close the tuck with the flap outside breaks up the continuity of the back design of the tuck box. Plus, after you break the seal to open the box, what happens to it? You would have to tuck the top flap back into the box to securely close it and all you would have left is a fragment of the seal still stuck in the middle of the tuck box's back design, which again, would be marring the back design of the box. This is not a well conceived design and I would choose a different stretch goal.

If you want to keep the concept of the flap outside of the box with the seal, then you need to change the printing of the flap so that it blends in with the back design. You would have to somehow figure out a way to make the seal re-usable after opening the box as well, or else it pretty much becomes useless and in the way after you open the box for the first time.

I understand what you saying and this is right issue. Maybe we are going to use unstick seals or changing packaging method.
Otherwise I use almost the same image on the back of tuck box as on the face part so this is not huge problem to stick it with seal.
