100 Bikes (Boxes, Backs and More!)

First, some background. (If you just want to see the pics, scroll down).

My old playing card web site displayed six card images for each of the decks I featured there: A card from each of the four suits in the deck:

1. A Heart Card
2. A Club Card
3. A Diamond Card
4. A Spade Card
5. A Joker
6. A Card Back

As I recently started my collection up again (after a few year health-related sabbatical from the hobby), I decided to scan in these six images from every deck I purchased, in preparation for starting my old web site back up.

I decided to add two new images to what the revived site would show for each featured deck:

7. An "additional" card, such as a:
-----* Title Card
-----* Avertising Card
-----* Gaurantee Card
-----* Blank Card
-----* Gaff Card

8. The Box

Since the majority of decks I was buying at that time were Bicycle decks, I decided that it might be interesting to scan in the same cards from each deck, to be able to compare all of the examples/variations of a given card.

Now, with more than a hundred Bike decks so scanned, I thought I would show here some of what I have scanned.

And, just to be clear, I didn't just decide to scan in eight hundred images in one scan-a-palooza or something.

I scanned eight images(Heart,Club, Diamond, Spade, Joker, Back, Additional, Box) from each deck as I acquired it. I've gotten it down to a science of sorts by now (although it takes me longer than it would if I still had the use of my left arm/hand!)

Since I had them all already scanned and filed away on my hard drive, I figured I might as well post them here on UC, where there are some other Bike fans who might appreciate them!

I hope to repost the images as my collection of Bikes grows. I currently have 106 Bikes, with four more in the mail (Gaff Cards Deck, Actuators (White Edition), Actuators (Black Edition) and I forget the fourth. That puts me at 110. I'll probably upload updated (and, I hope, slightly larger) images then.
