You stole my idea! lol

Here is the original thread on UC.net

http://www.unitedcardists.net/uc/forum/ ... lit=stitch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just to let you know, you don't have to shrink down your pic. You can post a bigger size pic here... and then when someone clicks on it, it will open in another window where you can zoom in and out on the pic. Here are some samples...

This is a test stitch. Click on the pic.. then you can zoom in.

Well, I guess if I'm going to steal, I might as well steal from a moderator! :D

Thanks for the tip about posting larger graphics!

Oh, and thanks for making my paltry 106-bike picture look pathetic, too. :(

Actually, I fibbed. mine was not "stitched".

For purposes of a web project I am working on, every time I get a Bike deck, I scan in the Queen of Hearts, King of Clubs, Jack of Diamonds, Ace of Spades, a Joker, a card back, an additional card (Advertising/Title/Blank/Guarantee/etc) and the front of the tuck box.

I store all of these images from the deck in a hard drive folder used only for that purpose.

All of these "deck folders" are subfolders of a folder in which I create HTML files for displaying the scans in various ways.

For the pic above, I created an HTML file which loaded all of the decks' box images into a table (grid display), loaded that HTML file into my browser and took a screen shot of that.

It sounds easier than the way I do it. I scan every deck, then crop it.

Then I stitch them together in Photoshop.

Here are some of the scans that I have cropped

http://s975.photobucket.com/albums/ae24 ... ?start=all" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And here are all the scans of my decks before they are cropped. ( this is ALL the different decks in my collection for those that are interested )

http://s975.photobucket.com/albums/ae24 ... ?start=all" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

BTW, your pic if not pathetic at all. Be proud of your collection! And I love the fact that you have a written list with it. Maybe I'll do that when I finally get around to finishing my deck-stitch

I lied... I just realized that there are some decks that I haven't loaded into that folder.

Sorry

Sounds labor-intensive. Did you ever find the "auto-stitch" feature in Photoshop that was mentioned in your thread where you shared your stitched scans?

Nice! What is the deck with "GAFF CARDS" on the box?

Most custom Bikes HAVE gaff cards nowadays, but I've never seen it mentioned like that on the box. Not cool for magicians, I'd think. They might as well print "RIGGED DECK" on the box and be done with it.

I know, I was just whining.

Besides, the 106 Bikes are only a small part of my 2,200+ deck collection.

And no, I haven't scanned them all in.

The reason I will be stitching them one at a time, is that I want them in a certain order when I'm done.

The Gaff Cards deck is something I found online

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bicycle-Gaff-Ut ... 3ccbba86da" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You should post pics of all your decks!!!

Ah.

Luckily for me, in my case alphabetical by folder name works fine, in that:

A. I named the folders in a way that puts many/most related decks together, such as:

(DragonBack_Blue, DragonBack_Gold, DragonBack_Red) and
(Target_Bungalow, Target_Flirtatious, Target_Rejuvenate, Target_Twilight)

B. It makes a given deck easy for me to find on the grid (and on my desk, where they presently are stored, in the same order).
The Gaff Cards deck is something I found online

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bicycle-Gaff-Ut ... 3ccbba86da" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thanks for the tip, I just bought it via eBay's "Buy It Now" feature.

I wasn't aware that deck even existed. All gaff cards - interesting!
You should post pics of all your decks!!!
All 2200+ decks? Not gonna happen any time soon.

I may post images from ones I already have scanned, but they would not include images of boxes, as I did not include images of boxes on my old web site - scanning a box was pretty tough using my old hand-held scanner).

But thanks for suggesting it!

CBJ, how did you add that pic to your post?

When I quote the post (as I am doing here), I see no tags for the image. was it added as an attachment or something?

I know thaat just plain old image tags don't do what your image did (unless there are parameters of which I am unaware), so I am curious as to how you did it.

If you're uploading a big pic, you need to make sure it fully loads before you post
