It would be nice if the front of the tucks were mirrored... so they would either be pointing towards each other, or away from each other.

Good idea, Jay. That might have actually got me to get the "Limited" deck, but as it stands I'm done paying an inflated price for a second deck with just a different color (or in this case, no color at all) just because it's printed in smaller quantities.

They added a pledge level for one of each. It ended up being about $13 cheaper to U.S.

Really like this design as well! I'm seeing a lot of references to Federal 52.

totally bummed that the goal is way too low...

I do like the concept, but my issue is the faces of the court cards. Great artwork for the bodies and border but then just some photoshopped faces put in there in a worse fashion than the Selena Gomez fakies that I've err i mean heard about... From a friend... Yeah that's the ticket.

I don't know... it's clear that the faces were added, but i don't think they did *that* bad of a job.

Here's the master at work for comparison:

Jackson did a better job blending, and added extra touches like the crown. But it's clear that the face was inserted from another source.

And this is still pretty good if you ask me:

Maybe it's not too late for the creator to make some subtle adjustments, if he takes our comments to heart...

Edit: There *are* two details that bother me:
1) The JoS has two eyes! can't see the JoH or KoD yet...
2) Inspite of the "Dead or Alive" theme.. Skulls on this deck seem out of place... even though i'm no walrusian skull hater...
Keep it Sizzlin'!

I only got the white deck, would've been nice if it was a beige color instead like the actual wanted posters.

Since this my first time pledging for something outside of the US, I noticed it didn't take me to the amazon payments site, I had to fill out my credit card info.

Break even through KS for 2 decks is between $20,000-$21,000. The funding level is just asking for trouble'

Thanks!

Love the concept and overall execution of the courts. I'm definitely in for a deck of each, but...

I really hope he gets rid of those cowboy-hat-wearing skulls on the back design... of this, I am NOT a fan. :? :|

Nice, but really too Fed52-ish. If he was before Jackson I would have said: "Very interesting".
But he's after.

Project cancelled

Hello everyone,

I had to cancel the Wanted Dead or Alive Project due to a low pledge Budget.
I will relaunch the project shortly with a higher pledge goal in which I hope
to reach all demands of production cost.

I apologize for this inconvenience and hope to continue to have your support.

Regards,
Vincent

Sorry, guess I should've put a winkie emoticon or two in there. The art is pretty darn good, I'll more likely than not pledge once everything is sorted and started up again.

The americana deck by cccc did this theme better in my opinion. I'll stick with those.

Sent to backers of the previous campaign:
Project Update #3: Wanted Dead or Alive has RELAUNCHED! (Vincent Tran) wrote:The deck was previously sent to the USPCC prior to starting the Kickstarter campaign. Their design and legal team have approved the decks.
Something that other projects could learn mightily from.

There's no real way for it to happen, but if this were a requirement for all playing card projects, the world would be a much better place.

Or at least the KS corner of the world ;)

I didn't re-pledge. 8-) These have the potential to be better.

So... he responded to all the criticism about trying to print TWO decks @ $8000...

by deciding to print ONE deck at $22000???? (with 500 decks in a second tuck box).

WTF???

Exhibit "A": Someone who is really not paying attention...

EDIT: Ok, so i'm not trying to pick on the guy, but I find this line pretty amusing as well:

"Or General George Custer who’s family was poor, but grew up to become a soldier and fought in the American Civil War and is recognized as one of America’s greatest leaders."

Custer may have been considered a great military leader in the time immediately after the civil war, but his reputation these days is considerably diminished after a certain "last stand"...
