Old Ironsides - Kings Wild Dreadnaught Tribute
For some unknown reason, Jackson Robinson is having a hard time getting UC to come up.
Anyway, here's the info
"I've always been fascinated with the U.S.S Constitution aka Old Ironsides since childhood. I think over the course of my life I have built and not finished about three models of the ship. I also have been a huge fan of naval paintings, in particular an artist by the name of Tom Freeman.
I have also been studying the "old masters" or the classic playing card decks of history and really fallen in love with the Bicycle Wartime series and most specifically the Dreadnaught deck. This is my tribute to both the deck and the U.S.S Constitution. I think that I will produce this deck eventually but It was a very refreshing creative process."

Very clearly, we need to clone Jackson to give him the time he needs for all these various projects of his...

You guys on mobile devices? I get that same error whenever the WIFI is very weak. Switching to cellular data and refreshing usually fixes it.
That said, my goodness! You're an unstoppable force!
Shipping F52 part 1, organizing Fed52 part 2, Kings Wild Project cards, The rumored Encarded/JR super deck and now Ironsides?
You'll burn out and burn a hole through our wallets!

This ship (or today's replica) is right in my backyard. I pass it on my way to work! Sure would be cool to own a deck with it on it... one better than all the junk in the gift shop, or should I say the ye olde gift shoppe

My suggestion: Make the Kings sea captains, make the Queens female carved wooden ship's figureheads, and make the Jacks crewmen.

I too was having trouble accessing the site at times. I added this line to my hosts file which helped out
50.62.80.221 http://www.unitedcardists.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Although I just tried pinging the site and it returned 67.215.66.146 as the IP address, so maybe I'll update it to that.

I really dont like the US above the playing cards, it simply looks out of place. The back design is not bad, hopefully we can see more =)

I had noticed that, too. Not a huge thing, but the horizontal spacing leaves the two characters disconnected. Perhaps use "United States" instead?volantangel wrote:I really dont like the US above the playing cards, it simply looks out of place. The back design is not bad, hopefully we can see more =)

The US part of the design comes from the original Bicycle Dreadnought deck:
