I play this game with my grandfather. It is very fun! But this deck doesn't have too much variation from the regular scopa deck we use:
And I don't know what the dice or gingerbread cookie (if that's what that is) have to do with anything.

Oy, he could have tried at least a little bit to design the two way court figures to be a bit more seamless. Sheesh.

That kind of cut-off double ended court is actually fairly common in modern European decks. They seem to have done a direct copy of public domain imagery, or imagery that was never copyrighted for US sales. It is clunky looking, and these are not really custom - just a substitution of suit signs - so there's not much "cost of designing" as mentioned in the kickstarter. I have to assume the heavy cardboard 2 part box, meant to make this more of a game package than just a deck of cards, is pushing the price on the production end.
Odd, but not really interesting, as it could have been had the courts actually been playing the games of dice, dominoes, cards, meeples(?).

I believe the meeples come from a game called Carcassonne. It's a fun game!dazzleguts wrote:Odd, but not really interesting, as it could have been had the courts actually been playing the games of dice, dominoes, cards, meeples(?).
