I'd like to see more of these. San Fran is my national league team ever since Jerry Garcia sung the National anthem at one of their games. I also like Rod Beck. He was the man when he went to the Red Sox. His nickname was the Walrus so even better. I think he died of a drug overdose. Anyway, the deck certainly doesn't look phenomenal but I like the subject matter. Stays at the level of gift shop deck. They even said as much on the KS page. At least they didn't tout it as a super rare limited commemorative deck.

There already are more of these. http://www.herodecks.com
I actually have three of these (Phillies-baseball, Eagles-football, and of course Flyers-hockey). And they're exactly as you say Walrus - a gift shop deck. I picked them up...in a gift shop. They have so many different teams already, I don't understand why they need to use KS. They seem to be offering them for the same price that I paid at the gift shop - $10. I haven't opened any of them, so I can't speak to the quality, but they definitely aren't USPC. I bought them several years ago on vacation before I really got into collecting. I only picked them up because of the Philly aspect of it, not the cards themselves.
