It's interestingly simple, somehow the pips on the back look weird to me but it's interesting enough that I want to have deck.

I think it must be, it looks obvious enough for me to think they missed it. But you never know.

Yes, this is somewhat reminiscent of the Pedale deck. Seems strange to have 600 early bird decks though.

What ruins this for me is actually the skulls. It would look really classy and clean without them, even though black and white courts are kinda boring to me. But the skulls take away so much of the class that they're a deal breaker. They seem to be just thrown on there, because it makes no sense that they would connect to the sword cross guard on some sort of string or pole or whatever.

agreed for me it's a total disconnect. The skulls on the back don't match the faces. But even within the back design, the colored pips make it feel like a gaming deck, like for playing bridge, but then the skulls? Maybe for someone's goth grandma?
