A couple of transformation decks on ETSY

Unread post by badpete69 »

So you all probably know about the ETSY site but I just found out about it today. Anyway in perusing all the decks of cards I found a couple transformation decks that some of you may appreciate

First the Portable Fortitude Playing Cards - 54 Protective Icons deck

The next one is a plastic deck the Lucky deck...this is not really a transformation deck but I thought it looked quite cool

Finally this one also caught my eye and it looks like it is unique and was cheap enough so I bought it

Received the last one as a gift, and want the first one but can't bring myself to spend the moolah.

Not my cup of tea, but definitely interesting. Thanks for sharing, Pete!

Howdy,

New user here. I actually purchased both of the first two decks you mention myself a little while back.
So, some feedback if anyone is interested:

Those of you who care about paper quality (I'm more about the art) will be disappointed, obviously, since none of these decks are by USPCC.

And the Lucky deck, while advertised as plastic (which doesn't really matter to me either) doesn't seem to actually be plastic. I haven't "stressed" the cards to test their strength, but they feel too flimsy and lightweight to be plastic, and they just seem to have a paper feel to me. Might be a case where the seller mixed up "plastic" with "plastic coated".

I do enjoy the art on both decks. The Portable Fortitude is more unique and creative IMHO, and looks more striking IRL than in the photos. I kind of felt that the opposite was true of the Lucky Deck however.

Cheers!
Keep it Sizzlin'!

I have to recommend the Portable Fortitude deck!
Steve Bacon has it on his site: https://www.rubylane.com/item/404269-T0 ... s?search=1
All the good stuff people say about these cards is true.
