I think I could deal with it, except the foreshortening on the QoS's legs makes her look too short. Those bishops look really nice, though....

Don't know why there were so little discussion on these "back in the days" (yeah, I wasn't here yet)
But here's a review:

As you may recall from a previous update, when King's Game was produced, an excess of 500 decks without tucks was printed. This was because the minimum required by the factory to print cards with foiled backs was 1,000 decks. However, as promised, only 500 of these decks were distributed, leaving 500 tuck-less decks in the warehouse for years.

Since I could no longer store these decks at Gambler's Warehouse, I decided to proceed with the production of new tucks so that the excess cards could finally be distributed. The timeline is not 100% fixed, but they should be ready sometime next month.

I named this edition APEX, and it will be distributed through Murphy's Magic directly to different resellers worldwide. I don't have access to the information regarding resellers, but if you're interested in acquiring them, you are likely to find them in your habitual shops.

Would be cool if you would link the source when posting updates. Does it come from Karen directly?
What does it mean? Does it mean she decided to end card projects completely? Or does it mean she is going to be active again but under a different name, like e.g. Riccardo did? I very much hope for the later since her illustration skills are awesome.

After much consideration, I have decided to discontinue my activities under the name of Bona fide Playing Cards and go on an indefinite hiatus. I started this journey 9 years ago with a small team that has since moved on, inspired by the idea of creating unique designs, sharing my vision with others, and growing as an artist. Your continued support over the years has led to amazing experiences and invaluable lessons. However, like any journey, this one must also come to an end. At the moment, I am unable to share further information as nothing has been finalized, but I can confirm that both series will be completed.

Finally, I get to see the works that captivated collectors years ago

I am thinking about them but I much prefer what is called the original Black version - confusing in that the cards are white stock (the black refers to the tucks)
You would think that one should still be able to source one of these from someone as these were not limited to 500 (now 1,000 - read on) like the White version

This Apex version is the 500 extra foiled back White version (Tuck) with black stock that were printed at the time of the originals because there was a 1,000 min run for foiled backs (read pg1 of this thread)
After sitting in a warehouse for years they have now been boxed up in what appears to be a silvery tuck which distinguishes them from the original 'Whites' but the deck is identical to the original white tuck version. So if you have the original White tucks you do not need these Apexs unless you are a tuckist or a completionist

Naturally the Courts are still a mix of one way and two way, which troubles me. I sort of get the explanation why but as the designer was selling cards not chess sets, I think he should have kept them uniform
