Re: Rouge playing cards
I actually like these. I saw the thread in the drafting board, and thought they were good enough to catch my interest. Unfortunately, at $16.50 (including shipping) each for a double-deck EB, it is way too much. I'm not sure where you got your pricing at, but it is definitely high. If these were closer to $12 each, I'd be in.
Re: Rouge playing cards
Unfortunatly i am in europe whicch mean i have to have them shipped here and then back out... it makes things very difficult..
if there was i way i could do it cheaper i would
Thanks for the kind comments all the same

Re: Rouge playing cards
I have managed to keep the shipping extremely low as i have family in the shipping business but it still is impossible to lower the price anymore.
if you have any good ideas let me know.

Re: Rouge playing cards
I wondered the same thing.joeblow wrote:I would be concerned about how dark these are. Did you do a test run with MPC?
I like the tuck & back design but the courts do nothing for me particularly as there are several similar decks on the market.
And yes, they look really dark.
Re: Rouge playing cards
Hey guys,
Yes you are right, the renders looked a little dark, i had added shadowing for "dramatic effect" but it obviously made them look too dark so i have updated them without the excessive shadowing.
Thanks guys !

These aren't bad, but they're not my cup tea. For whatever reason they remind me of GW's Alloy Playing Cards.

Re: Rouge playing cards
Why post these in the "Deck Design" section, get feedback, and not try it to see if it improves the cards? Reading the indexes with those fonts is very hard.
Good luck but pass.

Move on, nothing to see here.
Re: Rouge playing cards
I must say that so far i have had great feedback about the font thats why i decided to keep it.
do you really find the font so hard to read ?
many thanks for the feedback

Re: Rouge playing cards
By the way, there are other shipping/fulfillment options out there. Many non-US creators use Gambler's Warehouse or other companies to handle the fulfillment, when printing is done by USPCC, so you don't get the double shipping charges. You may have wanted to check with other non-US creators 1st about how they handled shipping before launching.
Re: Rouge playing cards
The packages have to go the the European partner company that deals with USPCC here first or i get heavy import charges which would make the costs even higher.
I cant even talk to USPCC, i have to talk to their Spanish partners to do anything at all which only delays the process but my hands are tied. it really is a nightmare. im not sure i will work with them with my next deck as i usually have to wait about a week for a reply about even the most simple question.
what other companies would you guys recommend ?

Re: Rouge playing cards
No better printer in Europe than Cartamundi. Although I have always thought that it would be nice to see a Fournier printed custom deck, but I don't think that that is a possibilty, unless a creator has some mad connections.
As for the design, I see some good design here, the pips are nice, the tuck is quite nice. However the courts are too standard for me to get a deck. Good luck though.
