66 degrees sounds like nice outside weather. 109 and 115 here the last 2 days.

I really can't wait to add these cabinets to my collection. Alleged fulfillment in April? Here's hoping for smooth sailing to make that happen!

Two days to the end of the Kickstarter. Last call. Amazing stats Alex. Over 1,800 backers and nearly $150,000 in funding and still two days to go. Considering what most Kickstarter playing card campaigns make, that is way up there. Congrats and keep going in the final push.

100% agree that these are going to look great with the previous campaign's cabinets. IIRC S1 was almost 3 months late and Magna Carta was 5 months late. Not that it really matters, Alex's stuff is always worth it. Hoping for smooth sailing indeed.TwoPieceFeed wrote:I really can't wait to add these cabinets to my collection. You don't see too many playing card campaigns it six figures anymore because there's just so many good options out there now. It's a credit to Alex that he was still able to get this level of support, he definitely deserves it. And even if there are occasional delays in his past campaigns, he does a great job with communication so no one is left in the dark.Bradius wrote:Two days to the end of the Kickstarter. Last call. Are these being fulfilled without warning!?
I received a shipping alert from Gambler's Warehouse this morning. Apothecary Part 2 and Hoody are the only 2 projects in my queue and Hoody is being fulfilled independently (according to the campaign page).

Alex did mention in his release of Mar 30 that the decks and uncuts were done, but the White Decks (tucks and Gilded) were in the process and should be done by mid-April. If you only backed the standard decks, it is very likely that your decks have shipped.
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

So not entirely related to discussion of the deck, but this kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ro ... my/crypt-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Appears to be using the artwork for the backs of the card in order to advertise their game. If you watch the kickstarter video about 9-10 seconds in you can see it.
In fact it appears to actually be implemented into the game on the cards for the game (or atleast the prototype) if you watch some of the how to play video (conveniently it is actually shown of the thumbnail screen before even playing the video)...
Was wondering about this and if Alex Chin knew.

Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
To make it more organized to minimize the possibility of any lost packages I'm sending all of the packages to Gambler's in one shipment for fulfillment. I'll be doing an official update later today or tomorrow but it's basically just waiting to get the gilding finished and then boxing them up and we're ready to ship out. It's still looking to be around the last week of April/first week of May for fulfillment.shermjack wrote:Alex did mention in his release of Mar 30 that the decks and uncuts were done, but the White Decks (tucks and Gilded) were in the process and should be done by mid-April. So one of the creators is actually my cousin. I helped him play test and let him use the designs for the tapestries which was is a fun little Easter Egg for those that like creator stories. He was a little stressed on time to finish the game before launch and I just helped him out a bit. Thanks for the heads up though! It's seriously always good to have eyes out there.JuFiN wrote:So not entirely related to discussion of the deck, but this kickstarter:

This is exactly what we say, in Portugal, when we discover something from them has been stopped at customs and we need to provide the correct documentation in order for it to be released.I have no idea what the heck GW sent me...
The only difference is that we say it in Portuguese

Mine are en route too. With hot humid weekend coming and a/c cranking I should see nice color change.
Move on, nothing to see here.

Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
Got my cabinets today. Just a little disappointed with the different size cabinets
Quote: Get both the Limited Edition White Gilded Cabinet and Wood Cabinet of Curiosities. Cabinets "magically connect" to stack perfectly with hidden magnets.
Not quite perfectly I guess as the red oak box is slightly wider. Last time it was dead on perfect but oh well

I received my set as well. Limited and regular boxes. They stacked perfectly for me. I guess you just didn't have the right connections badpete
Mine look great. I can't wait to see what Alex comes up with next. My bank account however, could wait a bit.

Now that the decks are delivered, someone needs to get the decks set-up in Portfolio52 so we can add them to our collection database! Hopefully, there will be the regular decks (Verana Virtues and Seronda Sentiments), regular decks with the signature bands that were exclusive to Kickstarter and the white gilded decks.

Bradius it is very easy to do.... How come you do not do it yourself? And BTW Alex knows how to take care of his customers, no connections needed heheheBradius wrote:Now that the decks are delivered, someone needs to get the decks set-up in Portfolio52 so we can add them to our collection database! Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
I do not find the process that easy. However, I do add more than a few new decks to the database all the time.
The problem is if I add the decks, they can't be used by folks until they are accepted by an administrator. As such, if I add a popular deck, it can lead to duplicate decks in the database. That is why I tend to focus on adding less popular decks. I added Carne Griffith's Gilded deck last week and am next going to add the Elephant Night deck, that for some reason wasn't added with the other two decks. Besides, my photo quality with my old phone is very sub-par.

Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
I got my Apothecary 2 decks and cabinets in today. Mostly happy with the results. The decks are simply amazing! I do have some small issues with the cabinets though and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same. I noticed above that Badpete69 has an alignment issue in that the Red Oak cabinet is slightly larger than the other three cabinets. Mine is too. However, has anyone tried to stack all four cabinets on top of one another. In my case, it seems the polarity of the magnets are reversed. When I try to get them to line up, the magnets move the two newer cabinets back and sometimes off to one side depending on the order they are stacks. See photos below:
It does this regardless of the order I stack them. When I turn the new cabinet around however, the stack perfectly.
I tried looking to see if I could remove the magnets and correct the issue, but I don't think I can do this with out further damaging the cabinets. Speaking of further damaging them; I also got a few rub marks on both my cabinets. Which is frustrating because other wise they look amazing.- Bradius

Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
I don't have the earlier cabinets, but I would sure be disappointed too if they did't stack with the new cabinets exactly. That is a really poor manufacturing error that should have been caught during prototype acceptance before production. One test should have been to stack them with the earlier cabinets just what you did. However, it may just be they did incorrect magnet alignment on your cabinets. As for the scuff marks, mine had no marks like yours. I would PM Alex. I am sure he will replace or at least repair the cabinets and might be able to fix the magnet issue.

Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
I too have found the old series cabinets have different polarity in the magnetic stacking than the new series.
This is pretty disappointing, as the only way the new series connects with the old is if one series set has the drawers facing forwards while the other series set has its drawers facing backwards!

Re: Seronda Sentiments & Verana Virtues by Seasons Playing C
I have reached out to Alex via PM. I don't think he's been on here in a while so no telling if this is the best way to get his perspective on the issue. I guess we shall see. The more I look at these, the more bummed I get. The care and attention to detail that was taken designing these decks and labels is outstanding. The shabby cabinets is a bit of a let down.
