Replace the artwork of the number cards with pip-like shapes, and you'll get me.

Maybe add a pip-like shape to the aces, too (keep the full art, though).

Holy %^&* this artwork is tremendous for the court cards.

This is one of those "great art on playing cards, but not great playing card art" to me. One of my criteria for decks I buy is that the art fits the media as much as possible (for playing cards that means mirroring, two-way, symmetry, playability, and so on), and this doesn't tick that box at all.

I feel if this artist learned the "rules" of custom playing cards and adapted his art into a more traditionally formatted deck of playing cards, he could have a real winner. The courts could be really special.

Love the artwork, however the indices don't match the artwork at all and look lazy, if I don't back they will likely be the reason. I don't believe at all that playing card art should be mirrored, it's a difficult thing to get right and that belief has ruined many a potential deck as a result.

I have not posted a kickstarter thread here before, so I am sure I am missing stuff. Anyway, I was surprised when I came across this on Kickstarter and it hadn't been mentioned here.

Just got my decks yesterday, along with a gilded deck... the cards are beautiful! I look forward to the next project

I just received my decks today. Two regular decks and one gilded. I added the gilded deck to Portfolio52. I am so tempted to open these, but they are just too amazing. I am afraid this may be a one and done project by the artist as he seems to be a quite successful and established artist. I am still not sure why he decided to design a set of playing cards. It should be noted though he went with USPCC, so I am sure the handling is great. I remember the artist originally planned to issue only 100 gilded decks, but they got so popular he had to limit backers to only one gilded deck.

The regular deck does handle very well, and I haven't opened my gilded deck either. Yes, I actually follow the artist, I watercolor and draw myself, so this was a good find.
