That's the Bicycle Lefty deck from NYMP... aka Kevin from TBC.

Haha Russ close but no cigar, the deck is blue, and is exactly what you see if you take a rider back and put it up in the mirror

I wish I had access to the file I used to have with a list of all the decks I had at that point, where I had purchased them, and how much I had paid for them.

Since many/most of the decks of the decks I purchased back then were old (up to 100+ years old), paying $30 for a deck was not uncommon for me back then (nowadays, I rarely pay more than $10/$15 for a deck).

The most I ever paid for a deck was $200 for a fairly rare Israeli deck from the 1920s (I was offered $1,000 for it right after I bought it, but declined. It remains probably my favorite deck in my collection).

The most I ever saw a deck go for on eBay was $1,100. It was a 100-year-old deck from a Los Angeles area racetrack. I saw nothing special about it, but evidently, several others did, as there was quite a bidding war for it (back then, you could see who had bid on an item).

Mike, I forgot to ask, and my apologies if this has already been answered bui:

Why seventeen decks?

Was it a number easily packed?

Was it a number by which the total number of dented/dinged decks were evenly divisable?

Just curious.

That is the maximum we could fit in a flat rate envelope.

Thanks!

Actually, those are the bigger envelopes. They were the Priority mail padded ones. In addition, the maximum weight for an international order sent via Priority Mail envelope is 4 pounds. 17 decks, in bubble pouches, weigh somewhere between 3LBS 14 oz - 4LBS. Even if they made a bigger envelope, the weight would still be a problem.

Thanks!

Would filling the bubbles in the bubblewrap with helium help with the weight?

I'm just trying to help here.

The three Rider Backs in the top row:

The first is Orange, but what are the other two? It could just be the photo, but they do not look to be standard Blue and Red - more like Teal and Maroon or something. Maybe the "Teal" one is Turquoise?

Yep. One is turquoise and the other is maroon/burgundy.

Thanks!

Additional info if you're interested: The Turquoise one was produced by Italian Vincenzo Di Fatta, and the Maroon/Burgundy by the British Bond Agency.

Maroon/Burgundy?

I haven't seen that on your site!

I just did a search there for "Maroon" or "Burgundy" and both came back with zero results.

I have Rider Backs in Black, Blue, Brown, Fuschia, Green, Orange, Red and Turquoise, all of which come up when I search your site for "Rider" and "Back", but no Maroon nor Burgundy that I can see.

Is this something you used to sell, but don't any longer?

I am quite jealous of what everyone is getting! It was just my luck to miss both the initial sale as well as the leftover stock that went back up for sale. I use pretty much all the decks I get so this would have been a great deal, probably the best deal I've seen in a good while! Do you think something like this will happen again Mike?

Correct. I think I may have one left, but they have been sold out for a long time. There is a yellow one as well that has been sold out for just as long.

Thanks!

Hmm... The differences I can tell from the tuck is that the top of the maroon tuck says "POKER" while the turqoise has "Limited Edition manufactured for Vincenzo Di Fatta - Italy". The turqoise has two identical jokers and 2 blank cards, while the maroon has two jokers (one with guarantee), and texas holdem rules on the other two cards.

Oh, and the inner flaps of the turqoise tuck are blank while the maroon says 6 and D.

There was a uk website that sold yellow rider backs fairly recently (mid-late 2012). I can't remember the name of the site though.

Found their site at magicbox.uk.com, but no yellow rider backs. And I'm pretty this wasn't the website I saw them on.
