Queens by Jason Brumbalow

Unread post by jerichoholic »

Here is a new one from Murphys that I had the privilege of receiving in advance. It's a nice deck printed by Expert with foil on the tuck and couple of metallic inks on the cards as well. However standard Expert courts and a 1 way back could turn off some of you, lol. Designed by Jason Brumbalow and available at various sites like Hocus Pocus at the moment.

IMO standard courts still (and always should) have a place in this world. And I like these!

Ugh. I abhor one-way backs. This is troubling because the deck looks very good.

I like this deck. I personally prefer custom courts but the rest of the deck makes up for it.

Unlike many decks that use metallic ink, this one looks really good , but that back :? Pass.

I agree with this. While my preference is for well designed custom courts, I'd rather have standard courts on an otherwise well designed deck than ugly courts that ruin everything else that may have been good. Also, if standard courts is what it takes to keep the costs down to make a deck affordable or to get funded, then its all good as well.

I've always loved Jason's designs all the way back from when he was with E, but I'm not so pumped about this deck. I'm on the fence with the back design and the one-way back will probably tilt things towards me not getting these. On a more positive note, it appears USPCC is improving the quality of their metallic inks. From the pictures of this deck and Giovanni's Eva deck, the metallic inks actually do stand out.

I love the tuck, and the back.
Don't care that it's one way.
