I'm sure *I* wouldn't believe it.

Re: Copper Unicorn and Steel Hippo Playing Cards (REAL METAL
Jeff has been making metal (and carbon fiber) playing cards for a while now and hasn't done too bad for himself with over 100K from 4 projects though I think that this idea is on its last leg.
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

I'm inclined to agree, I have the Brass Stag from an earlier project and while it's very very cool to have this insanely heavy deck with metal cards, it has almost no practical purpose whatsoever and I would think that most everyone who was going to get one already has. Carbon Fiber cards are getting long in the tooth too, the original project by Sly Ky back in 2013 was promising, by god the prototype gloss cards with blue thread looked straight up dazzling, I'd recommend anyone check out the video if they haven't (https://youtu.be/Qau2JyB_onU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), however he never actually made it an option, citing difficulty, and all similar projects since then have been boring.shermjack wrote:Jeff has been making metal (and carbon fiber) playing cards for a while now and hasn't done too bad for himself with over 100K from 4 projects though I think that this idea is on its last leg.
