The number cards are fantastic. Courts, eh, not so much. I don't understand the jokers either. Very nice looking deck though, the number cards are good fun. Would like to see the card backs on these, if it's functional I may back this even though I am not a dog person.

It looks like this is a reprint of an already done deck. Doing a search on the forum turned up a post by Jase (Jock1971) with the original deck - http://www.unitedcardists.com/viewtopic ... ogs#p56636. I'm guessing the original is not USPCC, whereas this version is. I clicked on the desinger's links to make sure that he isn't taking someone else's work and his links show the deck with him as the artist. Curious about the back as well. I really like the number cards. I'm OK with the courts and jokers. Backed for now.

I have the original version and the card quality is pretty bad...no, make that HORRIBLE, but it was an artistic semi-transformation deck and the art is good at least so I had to have it.
http://www.artiphany.com/products/pack- ... ying-cards

Glad to see it is being redone with USPCC. I wonder if his other decks will also be done or added as stretch goals? Agree, that original back NEEDS to be redone, but no mention or image so that could go either way.

Since I already have the original I'm on the fence for this one.

Since it's a novelty transformation deck before the holiday season with TONS of other decks on KS hitting the goal will be a challenge, but hopefully it will make it. I really wished instead he had done a NEW deck via this method.

If it does make it I assume the existing inventory will be dirt cheap.

Ack, that card back on the original is terrible. If that's the way this was thought of before it does not bode well for the backs of this remake deck. Looking at the other decks they seem to follow suit, cute number cards. No pics of card backs though. I think it's safe to say this deck isn't for me, since I really doubt the backs will be functional at all. Cute deck though. :)

  Nice.....at least we know we don`t need to wait for him to finish the artwork.

I agree with the above posts about the back  ecNate`s comment about the other decks being a stretch goal or add on might push me into backing but until then...

Haha quite like the number cards, but yes the courts are quite terrible, they should have gone on to do 11, 12, 13. And the tuckbox looks horrible as well...

Woof. I actually prefer the courts over the numbers.

Is it the same guy that did bag of bones? I like that deck. And the mermaid one.

Yes, this is John Littleboy as the artist. He also made the Kitten Club deck around the same time as the dogs - 2006. This is a new tuckbox, and there is a pledge which will add at least one new court card (Pedigree Party Pack). Do you see that sunburst pattern behind the dog on the tuckbox? That's very similar to the pattern on the back of the Mermaid deck so I wouldn't be surprised if that pattern will be the back of the cards.

The Mermaid Queen has an all over patterned back while the Bag of Bones has a design specific to the cards. They also have slightly better card stock with a linen type finish. Still made in China though.

I just recently bought his set of cards from artpiphany. Waited for a month, contacted him through his site, no response. Tried to contact through twitter, no response. Finally got a response after initiating a Paypal dispute, saying that they had been busy and that the cards had been shipped with something extra, but no tracking number. It's only been a few days since then, so I am still waiting on them.

Love the design of these cards, but Caveat Emptor, etc.

EDIT: Cards arrived today. They are lovely. Ok, I'm totally backing this project.

I think they reason why the number cards have such an appeal is because he placed them in a .gif format. They wouldn't be so clever once you shuffle or look through the deck with your own hands. Would be great as an uncut though since you can view it all sequentially at a glance but an uncut is too expensive.

Looks like he is not going to make it. As a semi-transformation deck it's pretty good, but I do have to agree his back of card could be better. He should have made it where the diamonds are matchy poo poo when flipped. And of course we all like text on the back of card....

This could be a red flag imo. The creator launched a second project on Indiegogo for the same deck the day after his KS project funded. Short on funds is he?

I watched the video it's cute. "On it's butt" You will get it if you watch it. He means well, but Indiegogo is not as good as Kickstarter. He is trying to go USPCC to get these produced. Bones for him...Maybe he should advertise it more. It's a reprint, but by the USPCC...

The problem is he's already had this funded for USPC printing on Kickstarter, why another project on Indiegogo right after the other one ended?
