I like the back design and the joker. Not a fan of the court cards. I wish the creator luck though. Just not for me.

These actually look good...

Problem: They're printed by USPCC who have problems with consistent border registration.

If they were printed by EPCC in Taiwan I think I'd be a backer.

Aren't we over custom courts of their friends? I mean, it doesn't say that, but...

Right here Mike...
All this faces are inspired by very special people from my life.

Maybe if you're David Freakin Blaine, you can get away with it, but otherwise this isn't advisable (unless you have smoking hot friends and the artist can do them justice...then maybe). Look, I get that these characters are special people in the deck artist's life, but that just makes the deck special only for him, and not so much for us.

My bigger issue is that it's $16.00 per deck shipped for the standard deck, and $18.00 per deck shipped for the "limited" deck. This is outside of what I consider competitive pricing for the custom playing card market, especially considering there is no embossing, foiling, serial numbering, die-cutting, or interior printing on the tuck (at least none is mentioned), nor is there any foiling/MetalLuxe on the cards. Not even on the "limited" deck. I actually like the "limited' deck, but its just a full-bleed re-color of the standard decks with no bling and not worth the premium charged. I'm passing.

very nice!

but I agree, I think I would've been better off not knowing the designer based the courts off his/her friends

nonetheless, I wish the project the best

New backs look good. Courts look atrocious.

I would have pledged for it if the courts were a little better AND they offered an unmarked version. These are decks I might want to play with, and the backs already look suspicious as hell to me, so I don't know that I'd even use it for tricks if I actually was a magician.

The courts in the original campaign were so so much better, I'll have to pass on this relaunch.
