Pokeri videopoker playing cards on KS

Unread post by Räpylätassu »

I have been waiting... for a long ass time... to a finnish playing card artist. And this... freaking THIS IS WHAT I GET?!? GOD F*CKING DAMNIT! SAATANAN VITUN SAATANA!

"Remember the eighties poker machines, which stole all your coins? These are real poker cards modeled after those machines." ............ I would bet that nobody remembers those machines as you could not find them outside of Finland, a country that has a smaller population than the city of Saint Petersburg.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

These bear a striking resemblance to the 8-Bit card decks by Home Run Games. So, on top of your other issues with this deck... it's already been done (or, at least, something very much like it has.)

Well they are completely the same as the playing cards in the old videopoker slot machines. I am not sure if RAY (Raha-automaattiyhdistys) has the rights to the design.

Slot machines and sports betting here in Finland are actually genius consept. A goverment controled buisness has monopoly on both. The profits made are given to support art, kids sports teams, the elderly, people with special needs, the sick and many kinds of other good causes. If you win, you can be sure that nobody is going to break your legs on an alley for that. If you lose, well at least the money is going back to the community.

Think I saw a comedy sketch about that once, can't remember if it was here or somewhere else though.

I got a slightly different translation. Might need a few umlauts to make it clear.
