DOTA 2 Playing cards - Valve store

Unread post by HFMJ »

I found these browsing online, I think they are interesting. On their FB page says they are printed by USPCC.

Wauw, this is cool! And they're pretty cheap too! I wish all custom decks were sold at this price point.

I really like this, not love but really like. GREAT price, too. Will consider based off that alone!

Someone noticed that there are 2 other editions ?

The deluxe Version has the same faces as V1, a black deck with different back design:

This green Version has new courts:

I don't like how the hearts and diamonds corner pips aren't one uniform color (like the spades and clubs are) so it's definitely not the best deck for gameplay but it's borderline forgivable IMO. I've said this recently but I hate how colorful the cards are but how NOT colorful the tuck is. I would have purchased this, no questions asked but now I'm gonna think about it.

FYI one deck shipped to the US is $12.33 for non-members and $11.90 for members (free to sign up I believe): https://valvestore.forfansbyfans.com/ti ... 12334.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Like a lot of "franchise decks" these days, a lot of missed potential, imo.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

While I generally agree, I am greatly enjoying the novelty factor. Especially with well printed decks like this. I think the days of crappy, quick, smooth finish franchise decks are slowly drawing to a close *cough* Hellboy *cough*
