Gambler's Warehouse is Introducing the Aristocrat Limited Edition Playing Cards Deck!
A pretty good price if you buy a brick (less than $5 per deck)

From the site:
"The Limited Edition Version use a different shade of black and gold on the backs and the face cards, but still have that classically beautiful scrollwork design."

So... it's just a recolor? And not even a very good one for what I can see.

According to an e-mail that GW sent out, the dark gold ink on the court faces is supposed to be metallic, which I consider to be a cool thing (although, the dark gold metallic inks aren't always as successful at being shiny as the light gold inks.... YMMV).

With metallic ink at this price point, I'm going to be ordering some.

Still, I think this is weak. The normal edition already has golden ink on them, it just doesn't glimmer. They could have at least designed a special box or used special paper and texture on it.

I personally would like to see more of these old school simple decks with standard faces which can be used to perform(!!!) at a reasonable price. Those decks completely vanished and were replaced by decks for collectors which have nice embossed boxes and foiling. I appreciate a nice deck, but I really miss those aristocrats, vintage reprints or the stingers which you could buy for 5$ a deck.By the way, I'm still waiting for the blue stingers ;)
