Re: Jinni Playing Cards: Live on KS
I like this deck, but the shipping sucks as it increases proportionally with the decks ...you basically pay 12 per deck if I get 2 decks or a brick I would have considered a half brick or brick if the decks worked out to be 10 or less each...oh well, helps me cut down on my purchases this way.
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

I like it but renaming the Jacks after yourself seems a bit tacky.

Re: Jinni Playing Cards: Live on KS
I hope it's just that one Jack.
Shipping makes no sense like shermjack said.
No way will he get a red or blue deck printed on this project either.

Move on, nothing to see here.

I like it too.
However, most of the court designs are not completed yet, with no ETA stated. Also, under Risks and Challenges, he writes that it will only take 5-7 weeks to print the cards after the designs are completed. He has clearly never printed a deck before, at least not with USPCC.
If this does not make it and gets relaunched some time in the future, I would want to see evidence of him doing his homework regarding turnaround time for printing, completed designs (and ideally having received approval for them as well), and better shipping rates.

Lets get Victor to give him advice. It'd be honest, maybe a bit harsh, but the truth. Oh Victor...

That's a well designed back but I won't back it.

Re: Jinni Playing Cards: Live on KS
Does anyone have this deck to trade? This really flew under my radar, until they came out, I absolutely love the design from the pictures.
I have had it on my wishlist in my tradelist thread for a couple of months now and I can't seem to find one for trade or for sale in Europe for a good price.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

In hindsight, this deck is actually pretty nice.

Re: Jinni Playing Cards: Live on KS
They're definitely a playful deck. I'm not thrilled about the courts on them, but I know what I was getting into from the outset and I'm not disappointed either. The back is really well done and they handle how you'd expect a USPCC deck to handle. Light and flexible, with a decent amount of snap to them. I still keep an open deck on my desk, in the pile, to fidget with while I work.
