Create an image stitch option for individual collections

Unread postby ecNate » Mon Sep 15, 2014 12:19 pm

This might be another workaround or maybe just another option from my printing bug report, but having an option to get a photo stitch of the tucks in a person's collection would be really cool and hopefully simple since you do it by brand and entire database already. Assume this is just a cron/scheduled batch job that runs occasionally, but perhaps having this for every user would be a bit much. In that case having it on demand or being done less frequently would be OK. Just an idea to consider.

I couldn't offer this to everyone, but perhaps a feature for people that donate as a thank you :) Code's there already, I can throw one together for you manually at the weekend if you like.

I suppose that might be a good donation benefit, but if you can get printing in grid form working that would reduce the demand for this feature. However, being able to download and re-display your collection in a single image of all the tucks would be pretty cool and a good donation draw. Just need to let people do that somehow!

When you said you can do one for me manually, assuming it's not a ton of effort does that mean you are thinking of offering this to top contributors as well or are you going to provide me a way to donate soon. I would be down with whatever as long as it's not a ton of work on your part since there are other features/bugs to be worked.

I created the automated stitch for all decks on the site already, but ran into memory issues that I don't have time fix :) The code will work for your collection, I just need to change the query and remove the footer text.

Taking donations on the site is oddly still a low priority... I should really address that ;)
