Re: Some cards.,,
Wow. A wave of cards. I love it.
I'm doing minor construction in my house and my anxiety is kicking in right now imagining having to replace a ceiling fan or something in that room, haha.
Very cool though, I hope you'll keep sharing your collection!

Since you are taking requests....personally I'd like to see the more unusual decks, odd shapes, substances, or artwork, any mini decks, and any vintage or international ones you may have.

I'm going to the 52+Joker Convention this year and I'm planning on bringing several hundreds of decks of my cards to show off! Is anyone here going?

What's in the rather plain looking blue box at the middle-front of the international decks? Also curious about the dark plastic box 3 over to the right from the blue one.
You need a more interesting deck from my country
In the vintage section - those card clips with the diecut spade ace shape almost look modern.
I like that "Survival" deck. Looks like it may have some interesting graphics. I have one similar, but more recent, that's called "Don't Die Out There".
I notice many are unopened, do you leave a lot of your decks sealed?

The blue box holds a Chinese Card Game. I found those in an antique shop a few years ago; the one 3 decks over was Heidelberg. My Survival deck is from 1974. It does have some rather outdated tips! The card clips are modern, but the cards inside are fairly old!

Thank you for the closer look!
The blue box deck is actually a Hanafuda set. They originated in Japan, but are also used in Korea. Are they plastic? The modern Korean versions I have are plastic, though the writing on your box looks Japanese. Nintendo started out in 1889 as a playing card company making the then popular Hanafuda decks, and they still make them, but I don't see the 3 kanji for their name on your box. I have never seen that kind of a box before. Cool find!
(There's more about Hanafuda in the Worldwide forum - Japan thread.)
Ah, I thought the Heidelberg deck was something with dark coloured edges.

Thanks TGunitedcardists! I'm just glad there are other people out there as compassionate about cards as I am. I'm 41 years old and have been collecting cards since I was 12. For the longest time, I thought I was the only one.

You're not the only one. Also, be careful with the Kickstarter discovery, because your 4000 decks could easily turn into 6000 decks, really quickly.Pokereaq wrote:Thanks TGunitedcardists! That's amazing!
I would love to see if you have any old Grimaud decks from France. I love them, they did 100 % custom decks 30 years before we started to see modern custom decks.

Re: Some cards.,,
This is late but I really just saw these last 2 postings.
Cool that you have the Duff Beer can. How does the deck sit in that? Is there a structure to the inside that holds it in place?
Does the Grolsch have the Dutch pattern? I have a Heineken deck that has the Dutch pattern courts and custom Heineken Beer aces. Dutch cards often have beautiful scenic aces that show buildings or famous sites.
Do you have any favourites here?
That Driftwood deck box looks interesting.
Hope you're going to drink those bottles. Never opening a deck is one thing.....
