Re: Cardshark and cards
These I am in love with simply because both sets of my Grandparents lived within walking distance from Coney Island. I went as a youngster up until about 15 years old more times then I can count.

Re: Cardshark and cards
Hello Cardshark...Wonderful to see your cards...I`m glad you are sharing these with us.
Is your collection mainly modern decks or do you have some Vintage/antique decks hidden away in your room somewhere ?
Also i was also wondering if you had any white whale`s ?
And (God forbid) if your house was on fire and you only could rescue one deck what would it be ?

Re: Cardshark and cards
Greetings Jock1971. Sorry about my lackadaisical response. I had two days of very important tests at the VA. These are tests that should have been done at the latest last February. It was not the fact that they had no space. My primary was negligent. So to answer your questions, yes I do have vintage cards. The cards are in no particular order, but are at least each type together. I should have years ago indexed everything and now I can't. I just pick up decks that strikes the urge and shoot. There's a lot of cards so it is hit or miss. As to what card I would rescue, I honestly could not tell you. My priority would be to get my 91 year old mother out of the house. She is very slow moving on cane, but can do better on a walker. The best I can say, I will continue to post and perhaps you will see something vintage that may interest you. I started 2002 (Circa) when Ellusionist put the Tiger Decks on the market. At that time I was basically saying, these are going no where. I am a magician and was thinking like one. I felt people would think they were some type of trick deck. Boy was I wrong.

Re: Cardshark and cards
When these decks came out, I jumped right on them. They came in red, blue and gold seems to be the rare card. I ordered a couple of bricks of each and noticed when my orders arrived, I only received 7 gold. That still holds true and never could find these again. I placed these on a card site that my friend runs and everyone went crazy. One gentleman offered me a gold monarch for one, but I have those. Then he offered a Microsoft Blaine deck, which is the only deck I lack in the Blaine collection. If anyone knows if these are rare or the status of the gold I would appreciate it. The reds and blue can be obtained on Ebay and never seen the gold ever. Originally I ordered two bricks and they could only supply seven.

Re: Cardshark and cards
Hey Cardshark, nice collection! Look forward to seeing more!
The Bicycle Golden Luxe Edition was limited to a print run of 500. I would consider them quite rare as they seldom come up on eBay and when they do, they get snagged up quite quickly...there is someone trying to sell one for 699 on eBay currently, but I think that it is a highly exaggerated price and would be surprised if it sells. If someone offered you the DB Magic deck and if you haven't already, I would make that exchange, especially if you have a few extra of the Golden Luxes. If you don't want to part with them, you can have the guy contact me and I will trade him

Re: Cardshark and cards
The Magna Carta series in my opinion went beyond creative. As you can see, each deck creates the signing of the Magna Carta.

Re: Cardshark and cards
Master's Deck East yet another creative set that forms a salty dog collage. Something looks a bit strange however to me with the two decks forming the ship. The bottom set is the reverse side of each deck.

Omni Decks on steroids. One must be careful when using these.
