[Jock1971] My Collection

Unread postby Jock1971 » Thu Apr 03, 2014 1:41 pm

Hi All. My name is Jason ,I born and raised in Scotland but live smack bang in the middle of England now,i am 43 next month.i`ve only been collecting cards since December last year after seeing some packs on kickstarter (like so many new collectors),after pledging for the Grotesque deck i joined UC. My main interest is in Science Fiction of all types,T.V,Film, Novels, Graphic Novels,Comics etc.
Down to business . I collect old and new cards ,only one pack maybe two and i open all my decks to look at and play :o I enjoy buying second hand decks from e-bay but have quite a few new bikes etc as well.
My first picture is a Canasta set i bought from e-bay for £2.50 (about $5) Its from the Thomas De La Rue company from England it contains One Blue and One Red deck of Crown Playing cards,Two score sheets and a instruction booklet and comes in a brown hide case.

Thomas De La Rue Canasta Set

Thats the Old for now .I think for my new i`ll show a few of my "Red and Blues" for now and get onto more exciting decks later (Not that i think any blue & red decks are boring FAR from it)

Red and Blues No1

I hope you like looking at my cards and will keep posting Old & New , i would be grateful for comments or open to any questions you have (even if you have had a laugh at my cards) :D
P.S the Quality of pictures will improve i`ve had to take with phone till i get batteries for camera

I had hoped to hit Page2 of this thread with the last post ,i`ll give it another try.
The front of my Olympic London 1012 box set.
100_0363.JPG

The opened box. i decided just to show the backs of each deck as you can make out some of the fronts on the inside of the lid.
100_0365.JPG

This next photo came out a bit fuzzy :ugdance: but have put it in instead of redoing it as everyone knows what they are .
100_0362.JPG

My last deck for today shows my favorite band of all time  Even though i have a eclectic taste in music (everything from jazz , classical , country , blues ,dance to Punk & Death metal) AC/DC ROCKS.
