Are you currently displaying your entire collection minus the duplicates or are there some oddballs not on display?

@Eoghann... You hit the nail right on the head. I'd say there are about 30 or so I haven't displayed yet.
@Volantangel... What can I say? It came in a bundle with a bunch of other decks.

Hey there nECr0MaNCed
Just like to say THANKS for becoming UC Featured Collector
i find it very interesting what other collector have in there collection.
Has there been a deck that you could have purchased, but decided against it and are now regretting your decision ?
When i first started collecting i had a chance of an original Blue Blood by UUSI but passed it up as i had no real knowledge about it
...now i`m kicking myself
I am enjoying seeing what you have posted so far and look forward to see the rest of your collection

Thanks Jock1971. I am also interested in seeing others collections. That's why your thread is one of my favorites.
As for dropping pledges, I have a couple. Sishou Beasts is the only one that comes to mind. Purely for financial reasons. Actually most of my regrets are for not getting more. I split a brick of Green Gatorbacks with another member. Of that 6 decks I gave away 2 decks ( about to give away a third) and traded one. That leaves a sealed deck for the collection and one open deck. I really love these cards for magic and wish I had more. Had I known how much I would come to like them I would have borrowed the money from my sister and gotten a gross.
PS I only have the blue and green Expert Back decks. There is a red that none of the Wal-marts near me ever seem to have. If anyone has a red deck to spare I'd love to trade or buy.
The last of the Bicycle/common stuff....

Now that the Basic Bicycle stuff is done ......onward. Some stuff from Thrift shops and ebay as well some odds and ends....
The American Airlines deck is open and complete. The Delta deck is sealed.
Three from United Airlines. All open and complete.
Qantas is sealed and Carnival is open/complete.
These were on clearance at Walgreens for $1 per 2 deck set.
From the Dollar tree. What the heck, they were a $1. (I'd buy that for a dollar!)

Thank you Necro!
Especially for showing them so completely.
I love the elegance of Arabic script.
Nice find and a good price, especially with one sealed.
I don't remember ever seeing an Egyptian deck before but those courts look exactly like the courts used by the Graphica Playing Card Company here in Canada. As far as I know those courts are original to the Graphica company, yet your deck seals say made in A.R.E (Arab Republic of Egypt).
Here, from a Graphica deck I have:

My pleasure. I too love the Arabic script.
Good call. Nearly exactly the same. The only real differences are some color variations.
I'll be adding these to the Worldwide Time Machine soon.

Great stuff! The courts are basically AARCO standards. I have seen one of their Nefertiti decks, but only after it was sold. The printer still exists, but they don't print cards any more. It was founded by a German fellow back in the 40's as I recall.
Excellent find!

@Mike.... I added the Moharem deck to the Worldwide Time Machine. First Egyptian deck! WooHoo!
I was poking around their website and it seems they still make playing cards. Hard to tell if they restarted or never stopped as the website is hard to follow. The decks they have now even have the same No. 111 branding. On a side note they are looking for an international distributor for their cards.
Ok, More Thrift shop and odds/ends...
Made by/for Whitman(Info on this would be appreciated) Green deck is open and complete. Yellow deck is sealed
Congress Pinochle decks. Complete and in poor condition. Both decks are the Cardinal on the left. Deck on the right is missing.
Just in time for St. Patty's day.... Decks are complete and in fair condition.
Congress personalized bridge decks made for the Montgomery County Bridge League. Cards are in decent condition and complete but the top of the slipcase is missing
Congress Bridge deck. Cards are complete but in poor condition.
Jumbo deck made in China. Complete and in good condition.
Double deck set made for Avon in 1994. Cards are complete and in good condition. Red deck is open. Green deck is sealed.
Mimi decks. The Hoyle decks on either side are in perfect condition and complete. The deck in the center was made in China and is complete and in fair condition.

Hi there nECr0MaNCed
The Irish tourist deck is very cool. Please don`t tell me how much you paid
The deck was first published in 1960 by C.T. Co Ltd of Dublin, and later editions were published by F.H Ltd of Dublin, The jokers (If you have them) should have the publisher on them. The box you`ve shown looks like a later edition.
Although the places in the photo`s are the same in each edition there are slight variations (different angles, different times of year, etc)
Altogether a very cool deck that i`m very jealous of

@Jock1971... I'll keep the cost to myself, although I posted it in an earlier thread when I got them so beware.
The cards are in excellent condition other than being warped/bowed. A porper clip would likely fix this. They look like they were rarely if ever used. Sadly, the Jokers are missing. I could of sworn they were there. I'll defer to your knowledge of these.

Between my house and job there are three and they are huge. It is rare that I stop into one and don't get a deck.

You wouldn't consider opening that chia deck to see if the courts are custom?
You sure get along with your bosses. Nice Hiroshige deck.

Looks like they are custom. I found
this pic online. (You have to scroll to the bottom)
I have been lucky to work for some good guys. I don't know much about Hiroshige but I'll look it up.

Onward and upward. Getting to the end of the Thrift Shop and odds/ends.
Some old Aviators. Tucks are in poor condition but the cards are complete and in fair condition. An Aristocrat deck used in a Casino I've never heard of from the Dollar Tree. An old Streamline deck I don't know much about in fair condition. The last deck is from a defunct drug store chain called Drug Fair. (Seems there were two chains by this name. One in NJ, also defunct and one in the northern VA/Wash DC area that these were from) The cards are complete and in decent condition.
A couple more Open Delta Airlines decks. Both are complete and in fair condition.
A sealed Congress set I just picked up off Etsy.

That Russian deck is really cool. I've been meaning to add one or two to my collection for a while, but that's probably one of the best ones I've seen. I really like the background and variety of the number cards, reminds me a bit of the Russian Folk Art deck (ok so I sort of already have one), but in a cool retro way. Those courts are always awesome. Thrift store find? Wow, I check mine out pretty often, but usually best finds there are board games, sometimes card games. The decks are always boring and few. I suppose most people just don't think they are worth donating because in their minds they only cost a few bucks to begin with? Yet you keep finding them, so maybe the good ones just don't last in my area.
Anyhow, thanks for sharing. Some good ones in here!

@Ecnate... I love the courts and the number cards, unlike many decks, are not just an afterthought but beautiful in their own right. The best 50 cents I ever spent. It took a week to get the grin off my face. I am lucky. The thrift stores here are the size of supermarkets and the one near my house is actually two in one and nearly the size of a Wal-Mart. On an interesting side note the charities that own the thrift stores near my house got a 99 year lease and the stuck up residents and homeowners associations have been trying to get them out for years. Here's to hoping they continue to fail.
@Volantangel... I would be glad to grab you a set my friend.

I love matte tucks, but they make it impossible to take the seals off cleanly, don't they?
Fantastic decks.
